  • That band had me rockinnn when "Rock with you" came on. They was working that shit lol

  • The idiots who claim that Bobby Brown only had "one good album" need to actually know the man's discography. He had TWO multi-platinum CDs, had 12 songs go Top 40 R&B (6 went #1). 9 of those songs also went Top 40 pop. Most importantly, BB paved the way for mainstreaming R&B, without watering it down for white audiences like Michael Jackson (who I love by the way, but truth is truth) did. This isn't even counting BB's work with the legendary New Edition. Give Bobby his due props!

  • It's nice that Usher is paying homage to an entertainer who was obviously a big influence on his own style. However, the singing and dancing seen here doesn't touch Bobby Brown in his prime. FYI, ALL of these modern-day R&B male entertainers (R Kelly, Chris Brown, Omarion, etc.) need to be thanking Bobby Brown, because they ALL bite off Bobby Brown's style without crediting him as an influence.

  • ...It is a lot of his performance on you tube and he Bobby V remade tender roni and Bobby brown sang it with him on the lopez show...New edition is awesome group that can give diferent styles of music..

  • This is nice by usher.Glad Bobby did not give up on life..He has been performing the last 3yrs strong solo and with the group..

  • His voice just isn't as edgy and funky. I wonder if even 10 years ago it would have been much better.

  • I want the old Usher back :(

  • i know thats Alex Evans on the bass (fuck Usher's MD for getting rid of him-FUCK that bullshit)...and whose on the Kit?

  • Man the band was on point!!

  • WATCH wen bobby brown dies,every1s gonna be on his nuts....

  • é o Bastante pra mostrar que o Chris Brown ainda ñ fez metade d qoe o Usher Fez e ainda faz!! King of R&B

  • haha, that bolero on him makes him look kinda gay haha.. I still have this cd

  • He's no King of Stage! good rep though.

  • Is Bobby come out with a new album????

  • @winnipegger26 Yep! .... He was gonna release it on February but due to his loss of his Mother ... I think it will be released within the next two months ... the Album is Called The Masterpiece ... and there are some dope Producers on the album some old some new ... Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis are among the Old ones and A Guy Named Benjamin Franklin is from the new ones

  • @winnipegger26 check out the new single by Bobby Brown it is called Get Out The Way

  • B.Brown is not getting his proper props ...But trust me he is gonna get his real soon ... after THE MASTERPIECE comes Out .... ppl will be blown away!!

  • wtf was that @ 2:21 sounded like a cat being drowned

  • Usher claims that Michael Jackson was his inspiration,i don"t believe him based on this clip.he should be very very happy Bobby got into drugs 'cause he would never had so much airplay .he needs to give props to Bobby.

  • usher is too "nice and slow" to do bobby lol - loved it though, hope bobby saw it.

  • he look a lil gay

  • @jdouglas91 lmao he really does and i love the man

  • I remember the Bobby Brown megamix on MTV, that was studio. It was done without usher. It was the original megamix. It did the songs Don't Be Cruel, My Prerogative, Every Little Step, and On Our Own. I think Rock Wit'cha was in it too. It was most of Bobby Brown's famous songs. The megamix that I'm talking about was just Bobby Brown songs. I think Ben Liebrand did the megamix. The Bobby Brown original megamix must be floating around on VHS tape or on a Bobby Brown 12'' single.

  • Can anyone help me out? What's the song called at about 2:32 ish?

  • @Leesarocks1996 Bobby Brown's "Every Little Step"

  • A lot of singers' influences are shown in their work.

    James Brown - Michael Jackson

    Prince - D'Angelo

    Bobby Brown - Usher

    R Kelly - Trey Songz

  • lol! i used to have the cd. lawd, i wore that thang out!

  • @urahotmess they still sale it

  • @jamealmerrill yea just check walmart or bestbuy

    Alex Evans on the Bass.

Wow-oh-wow...what an INCREDIBLE rhythm section !!

  • some of them girls are too young for usher to be actin like that on stage.. smh..

  • Does anybody have the original Bobby Brown Medley video, that isn't live? The studio version?

Can somebody upload the original Bobby Brown Medley video?

  • wait usher made a studio bobby brown tribute? I would wanna hear this too!

  • I don't know if Usher made the studio Bobby Brown tribute. I remember seeing the original Bobby Brown Medley Megamix on MTV, that was studio. I also remember hearing the studio version of the Bobby Brown Medley Megamix on the radio. It might of been Ben Liebrand, or Bobby Brown that made the studio version of the Bobby Brown Medley Megamix. It might even be on one of Bobby Brown's 12'' singles. I wonder if Usher did record some Bobby Brown tunes?

  • @joshblaize no im pretty sure he din't im a big bbrown and usher fan so im almost certain on this unless its unreleased.

  • thats not aaron on drums, thats somone else

  • Youre right bro thats not Aaron on the drums. Eric Moore done this one.

  • My Bad - Brian Frazier on drums!

  • aaron spears on the drums!

  • What concert is this? I wanna get this on DVD. I have the CD audio but would like to get it on DVD.

  • It funny how times change. Bobby used to arrested and the shit he did isn't half as raunchy as what Usher's doing.

  • lame costume but he honoured bobby no doubt

  • it´s cool that he honours bobby!

    not tryin to disrespect usher

BUT if u listen right after watchin this to an original classic of bobby brown here on YT it´s sounds compared 2 bobby soooo weak,

thats shows how strong bobby was!

  • i think bobby had much more power on stage,, but it´s really cool he honors bobby

  • Usher > Bobby Brown.

  • i think bobby better singer imo but usher the better dancer by far.

  • yes indeed the drummer is fire on this medley.. keyboardist doesnt do to bad on the lead guitar solo's either lol mean awee yeah and Usher's not bad too

  • Usher is definitely paying homage to Bobby Brown....this is no dis on the so called king of R&B (So ex wife says) but usher sings his songs with respect.

  • Usher is nice, but he doesn't have half of Bobby's swagger. Bobby's swag was on another level!

  • Thats cool he gives Respect to Bobby...No Matter what,Bobby was a trend setter and was the 1st to sing and add rapping to R&B!!!!!!!! Word Em' Up!

  • wtf is he wearing?

  • Thats the same thing Bobby wore on the Home Again tour

  • usher did good but cant nobody do bobby like bobby

  • idiot this is usher wanna be bobby brown but you can't dick hed

  • That drummer is a god, fucking amazing. Usher, thank you for bringing back those classics.

  • i MEAN AT 4:00 .... S0000 SEXY!!!

  • LMA0 .. 0MG AT 3:50 WHEN HE WAS WiNDiNG HiS LiL B00TY! i USED T0 REWiND THiS C0NSTANTLY 0N VHS! LMA0!!!

  • The songs My way Usher raps and sings and dances like Bobby he respects Bobby to

  • Right here you see usher grew up Listening to Bobby brown its cool usher respects Bobby to he raps and sings like in the songs my way respect to both

  • thatz my look alike!!!

  • I had soooo much fun at this concert. I wish he would come back

  • well DONE !!! hot Band +++++

  • Nice try. But sad to say, Bobby was much sexyer than Usher.

  • You mean the talking out the side of his mouth Bobby Brown???

  • Usher is dressing the same way Bobby Brown did on New Edition's Home Again Tour in 1997 when he was doin his solo sets.

  • amazing band!!

  • Great cover for my favorite 3 songs from Bobby. BTW Usher was skinny.

  • This is hot I'm glad he givin Bobby the credit he deserves and wat is his home town Usher? State too thx

  • I love both!!!Go Bobby and Usher!!!!

  • james brown > mj > brown > usher

  • usher, what the hell r u wearing?

  • Bobby's voice has an originality to it. Usher is very generic sounding. His tone and inflection and 10 other things about vocal quality is just average on the whole.

Usher does have strengths, great song selection, wonderful showmanship, mad dance skills and a well rounded personality. He has alot of the qualities that allow you to make it in the business. Bobby had an original voice & stage prescence and bad boy persona. However, you DO need a mature soul to weather the temptations. strike 3

  • You are so dame right.

  • Bobby's voice compared to Usher's is nothing. Bobby could sing but no one thinks of his voice when they think about it. They just think about the dancing. People think about Usher's singing and dancing. How is Usher's voice generic? He's never shown his full range before.

  • Have you ever heard Cliff Richard? look him up. He's the all time selling British artist in HISTORY, beating Elvis, Beatles, Bee gees etc.

I LOVE Cliff's voice. However... listen to it. There's nothing special about it. It just SOUNDS good. Cliff can't do falsetto well, he has to work to bottom out and his style has a consistent uniform smooth delivery. Usher is very similar. Nothing Wrong with his voice. His voice is like Britney's looks. It's what you expect from beauty. Average=Acceptable

  • If you want an average and acceptable voice, that would be Bobby Brown's.

  • hehe, if you say so man. If ok to be a fan of one singer or another but to let it obscure your objective point of view is another. Good luck holding onto that belief that Usher is the next Michael Jackson.

  • I'm a fan of both Ush and Bobby Brown. No one is gonna be the next Michael Jackson, I never said that. All I'm saying is Usher is a better entertainer, singer than Bobby Brown. Michael has said that Usher is a great entertainer, even had him perform onstage with him at the same time. I don't see how people would favor Bobby Brown over Usher in any way, but I guess if you don't know much about the subject, your point of view would be a little off so it's understandable.

  • Usher is the worst singer than Bobby Brown.

  • lol You have problem hearing...and that's okay. I understand.

  • Bobby paved the way for usher without bobby there would have been no new jack swing

  • yea it would, teddy made new jack and usher is nothin like bobby more like michael jackson

  • Usher isn't the first one to sell that many albums since Michael, just know that,(not trying to be negative) Janet Jackson 20 million and Madonna 20 MIllion also

  • Neither one of those artists are R&B artists though. Both pop artists.

  • If Bobby is so great why is he on "Going Country" trying desperately to make a comeback. Bobby Brown can't sing...he was a good entertainer...lol..Now he is a rehabing crack addict...some people act like he was the greatest.. Why??cause he had 1 good album.. he is lucky Usher gave him respect..Usher has 3 albums that has all gone Platinum Plus.... u can't compare them anymore...there is no comparison.

  • Please get off of Usher nuts, Bobby Brown was a better singer than Usher was. Even Usher admitted that Bobby Brown was better singer than he was. By the way without Bobby Brown their would'nt Usher, Chris Brown, or Omarion.

  • DPEART6475, You are speaking from a self centered point of view. As time passes, you will find that Bobby Brown has left a footprint in the concrete of music history, Usher will leave a footprint in the sand, soon to be swept away by the wind. What Usher is doing is selling albums. Bobby AFFECTED the POP CULTURE of his day. Ever heard of Quiet Riot? "Cum on Feel the NOise" They had one good album That will LIVE ON in music history FOREVER. Which album did Usher do that is worthy of enshrinement?

  • Usher sold 15 million albums his last time out, something that no one has seen since Michael Jackson...I don't think that just left a "footprint in the sand" lol. Confessions is definitely worthy of enshrinement moreso than Bobby's best and old good album (Don't Be Cruel). Again I say, 15 million albums sold...1.1 in one week! Smarten up.

  • Hey he is not the first to have sold 15 millions since Michael Jackson !

He is the first R&B singer to do so.

For example Millenium by The backstreetboys a pop band sold more than 40 millions worldwide and 5 millions in 1 week only ! That's huge ! This album is the best selling album since....Thriller by MJ.

So Usher set his records on the R&B history mostly.

But I must agree that he is a legend and ,for me, the best entertainer since...Michael Jacskon.

  • R&B singer is what I meant. Not talking about pop artists.

  • Ush is too advanced for Bobby Brown. He was paying homage though cuz he looked up to him.

  • Usher sucks compare to the prime Bobby Brown.

  • Not true. Usher clearly outsells him and his shows are a lot better than Bobby's. He actually sings the whole time. His voice is ten times better.

  • R U kidding me Bobby Brown was a better singer than Usher was. Plus every Bobby Brown concert always been filled up.

  • lol Bobby Brown a better singer than Usher...hilarious stuff. No one thinks about singing when they think of Bobby Brown. Usher can really sing. His range is ridiculous. No one ever talks about Bobby Browns singing. U make it sound like Usher doesn't sing anymore lol. "Bobby Brown was a better singer than Usher was."...Usher still sings. And does it well. Bobby Brown is a dancer that sings. Usher is a singer that also dances well. Overall great entertainer.

  • Don't get me wrong but, Bobby Brown was the greatest to happen to R&B. Usher is to me the best R&B star in this weak ass era.

  • I wouldn't call Bobby Brown the greatest to happen to R&B. R.Kelly, The Temptations, James Brown, Michael Jackson, etc. I could go on and on. Those are the greatest things to happen to R&B. Usher is in that line. Usher is one of the greatest of all time, not just in this era.

  • You don't fucking have to call him the R&B, I would because his impact in music industry. People around world not call R.kelly the greatest R&B singer of all-time. Bobby Brown was the best thing after Michael Jackson and Prince not R.kelly.

  • lol Bobby Brown wasn't the best thing after MJ and Prince...sorry. No one would call Bobby Brown the greatest R&B singer of all time either so what's your point? BB was good for a few years. MJ was still out during that time. BB had an impact, but not as much as you think. And he's definitely not on Usher's level.

  • Hey dumbass Bobby Brown was the best thing after Michael Jackson and Prince. Plus, Usher not exactly on the same leveled as the prime Bobby Brown.

  • lol You're right. Usher's not exactly on the same level...he's higher. 15 million albums sold, 7 million, 7 million...on stage with Michael Jackson and James Brown (who called him the new Godson of Soul), the two greatest entertainers of all time. So you're right, Usher's not on the same "leveled" as Bobby Brown in his prime...he's above and beyond.

  • Bobby Brown was the richiest R&B star of all-time pal.

  • And Usher's richer pal.

  • Usher did'nt have the impact that Bobby Brown bring.

  • You're right...He had a bigger one. No one lists Bobby Brown as an influence but Usher. A lot of people are inspired by Usher. Michael Jackson says Usher's a great entertainer, never said that about Bobby. You're obviously lost.

  • Why are you licking Usher ass you know he just another Micheal Jackson and Bobby Brown wannabe.

  • Not really at all...U obviously know nothing about paying homage to people who influenced you. Usher's style is all his own now. Who would wanna be Bobby Brown? He was cool for a few years then he fell off...and into drugs. Usher's never fallen off.

  • R&B is dying because lame as artist like R.kelly, Chris Brown, and Omarion. Bobby Brown days R&B music was alot better than the ones today. Usher performance always been the same for years. He does the same routine over and over again. For your information Bobby Brown influnced Usher, Sisco, Omarion, and Marques Houston.

  • lol You've been sleeping for the last 14 years. Those might've been the best days of R&B but Usher would've been good in any era. Usher's performances are never the same as always. You have no idea what you're talking about. You can't even spell Sisqo correctly, so I'm not surprised at any of the crap you're saying from this point on. Once again, Usher's on a totally different level. R.Kelly bad for R&B lol. Give me a break.

  • R.kelly did'nt come out with a hit since that Space Jam soundtrack. New School R&B sucks now compare to Bobby Brown days.Like I say people around the world will not going remember R.Kelly musics because it doesn't attracts alots of people attention like Bobby Brown music does.

  • lol Like I said, you've been asleep for years. Bobby Brown's music doesn't attract as much attention as R.Kelly's at all.

  • Are you licking R.Kelly pea? R.Kelly music has same ass beats and sounds. Bobby Brown music has different sounds and beats to it.

  • If Bobby is so great why is he on "Going Country" trying desperately to make a comeback. Bobby Brown can't sing...he was a good entertainer...lol

  • One time my sisters went to see Usher conert in Houston, my sisters told me that he is one of the worst singers that they ever heard.

  • tha jordans he qot on r classic`z

lolz , bobby brown is tha qreatest tho!

  • That band is off the hook!

  • Usher giving props to Bobby, that what's up! I love Bobby!

  • New Edition needs Bobby Brown no doubt about that. One of my all time fav arist. NEW JACK SWING 4 EVER. Bobby Brown 4 Ever.

  • I went to a show he did in London a while back, where he did a similar Bobby medley like this and it was Wicked. I was & still am a huge fan of B Brown, so it was nice he payed homage to him.

  • i must admit- this was nice, but disappointing: no one can compare to bobby brown

  • Usher...you aint no BBrown buddy...nice to see the greatest can be imitated but never duplicated!!!!!!!! BBB!!!!

  • Yeah, you're right. He's a lot better than Bobby Brown.

  • Usher! .......... thank you for giving respect to one of music grates performers. Bobby Brown if the drugs didn't get in his way we would put him up there with Michael Jackson and prince.

  • Bobby Brown still is better than prince, but not Michael jackson.

  • U crazy as hell as both a performer, and artist Prince blowin his crackhead ass out the water.

  • One of the brightest R&B stars of the late '80s and early '90s, Bobby Brown was the man who popularized new jack swing, a blend of classic soul, urban synth-funk, and hip-hop rhythms that often featured rap breaks in between the conventionally melodic verses and choruses. Bobby we love you.............. bobby voice is powerful and grity like the streest the Boston.

  • Bobby Brown makes NE better! His voice like it or not gives the group its grit. .............. I hope people will respected bobby and understand him more before he pass away one day. A real arties just misunderstood like most............

  • those were the days when bobby was it. we were in the marine corp and enjoyed his music and concerts and partying away. i have enjoyed this sooo much. old memories!!!awesome.

  • where can i get that shirt!..hahah!

  • ha ha yea i was thinking..wat the hell is he wearing he he

  • The drummer deserves all the credit

  • i remember renting this from blockbuster

  • Which tour was this?

  • Oh yeah, this is HOT! Go Usher! Paying respect to Bobby Brown...can't be mad at that! Sounds great!

  • Wow Usher is my man...my baby father...lol my baby daddy...

  • usher did a nice job. His band was killin especially on Rock wit'cha!

  • Fantastic band, but I don't see what is so great about Usher.

  • Love it! Sounds great!

  • amazing band!! the bass....the drummer....so great!!!

  • omg usher cannot touch bobby's vocals...

  • Oh Bobby Brown is washed up. I guess crack will do that do you. JUST SAY NO TO DRUGS!

  • It's not fair, and I'd rather stick with the original, at least where credit is due. I didn't hear 'station identification' or a "hey this song isn't mine, it's Bobby-B's" (basically "go listen to the REAL ONE, it's always better")

  • yeah i know that!!!!!1

  • That's USHER, not BOBBY BROWN!!!!!

  • Its Usher singing Bobby Brown!!!!

  • I keep tryin 2 tell people over & over, BOBBY BROWN was the man!!!!cant knock him

  • SOOOOOOO SEXY

  • bobby brown is the man, he started all this.
