Since you mentioned Egon, here's some trivia from 1984. When Frank Oz was directing and filming The Muppets Take Manhattan, another movie was being filmed in New York City at the very same time, which became a big 80s franchise. It was Ghostbusters. During that time, Frank made his acquaintances with the Ghostbusters cast, and got to work with Rick Moranis and Bill Murray in his two following films he directed; The Little Shop of Horrors, in 1986, and What About Bob?, in 1991.

Legend is an understatement for Frank Oz. They have to make up a word just for him and that still wouldnt be good enough.
