As a member of the L.D.S. church I feel it should be pointed out that we have never taught that skin color is a curse. As a member of the L.D.S. church I feel it should be pointed out that we have never taught that skin color is a curse. It is, and all ways has been our theology that skin color was a mark to distinguish between people who were keeping Gods commandments and those who weren't. The curse spoken of is the loss of Gods spirit. Not the darkening of their skin. The belief otherwise comes out of ignorance or attempts to discredit the church to the a audience not familiar with our doctrine.

Moroni said that some escaped into the southern countries, whereas others deserted to the Lamanites.Hence, they probably were absorbed generations after the fateful day on Hill Cumorah. This was many generations after the Hagoth migrations. So there may be a little Nephite blood running through the veins of some Lamanites. Besides, Lamanites are descendants of Lehi, as well.

The flooding of the Sunda shelf in the end of the ice age disperse the people, with it there knowledge . dna is powerful evidence used in courts to prove crime and paternity cases. In science it can be used to link ancestory. I believe in science. Other things need to be looked at, too, such as language and artifacts. If the American Indian and Polynesian are not of Lamanite decent and Israelite decent, then the book of mormon is not true and consequently the church. The black curse and polygamy can be explained away, but dna can not be explained away.

The apostles and prophets get up to 75% of there previous earnings before they became appointed officials of the church. that 75% that they get is added to other money the church supplies to them. Dennis Quinn's credibility is severely unreliable. He was excommunicated from the church because of his homosexual promiscuity.

Hinkley did not live in a apartment it was a Condo. He spent less time at the Condo as he did at his families lot in Holladay. My sister was a live-in nurse for his cousin Barbara in 1 of 5 homes in Holladay. My sister frequently spoke and saw Gordon at the area. He was escorted with security and a couple of stretches. One of the homes belonged to Hinkley, massive homes. Barbara passed, my sister was not allowed to attend the service. Hinkley did thank her for taking care of Barbara.

Yes, Quinn's work is not credible, therefore your source is faulted in one way or another.
T.Ferguson is another story. His entire belief in Mormonism was based on physical tangible evidences.. Everything that is not required for FAITH in God according to the BoM, & Holy Bible inclusively.
You also imply that G.Hinckley was living a life of luxury in a 5* condo. Whether it was a condo or other, my eyes cant deceive what I saw.

Of course Ferguson's work is not credible to the LDS faithful. Problem with Mormonism is "physical tangible evidence", because there is none. If the LDS heads had any evidence of the BofM battles/lands, you betcha it would HEADLINE news.
Quinn's work is credible, and I'm pretty sure you did your lil google and found some reason why it is not. The problem is, he is not the only one.
Yet it was a Condo, and yes not the only one he used/owned. Yes my sister did care for Barbara for 3 years.

Members prominent or not leave because they found out that the church is not what it claims and that the BofM has no evidence. Apologist like Peterson whom is a friend of mine, is only trying to keep people in the faith. Suggesting this place or this group of people are lamanites is not evidence. The Hill cumorah is the only piece of land that the church declares as physical evidence, yet the church has not found one single artifact to justify any battle where millions perished.

You can ONLY be saved by the Lord Jesus Christ. The bofm is the idea of man. The idea that you can save yourself. As I pray, I pray to the Lord Jesus Christ. As Christians we believe in the trinity, you as a mormon do not believe in that. Jesus did the work for us. WE CANNOT enter into a masonic temple to do what Jesus has done. The REAL Temple was destroyed, the veil torn, the message"the good news" has been taught through his apostles.

I actually have studied the Quran, thanks to a good Muslim friend of mine whos motives were only pure. See, I told you I was open minded.
But Im afraid that youve read so much anti-literature, that you dont know much about the basic Mormon beliefs. As I said, Jesus is The One who does the saving. No-one can be saved by their "OWN" works, and the temple wasnt made for replacing The Saviour.

There is a user name "lds9999". He has a video on the Apia LDS Temple. A comment was made of how the LDS tried to purchase a land with a forged title. That village is my village. I commented on the video but my comment was removed and blocked. My family took the LDS reps to court, and they were asked to bring the original title and markings when they receive them.....we never heard from them. This occurred 3 yrs ago.

Trinity - something that is not mentioned in the Bible. It actually was created by an emperor of the western
Roman empire, who had no authority. That said, your trinity is a man-made; in essence, it's an idol.About the temple being destroyed anciently, it was rebuilt & the apostles continued go to it. You need to read the Bible again, for that is what it says.

Ya, all those things you've brought up are taught at our church.Jesus does have a body of flesh & bones - he did resurrect & showed his physical body to his disciples as proof & went back to heaven. But no...we do not believe in the trinity, which states that God has no body but is some kind of mist without form that fills the immensity of space. A part of that mist, broke off and became Jesus Christ. That is what your doctrine of the trinity says;we don't believe in the trinity.

A Christian is a believer in Christ ONLY. And in Christ we find our salvation and purpose. I didn't find that in Mormonism. Many teachings and beliefs that are taught squarely oppose what the bofm teaches...(plagiarized).
Bofm contains no teaching on the need for temple rituals, eternal marriage, plural gods, mans pre-mortal existence, proxy work for the dead, 3 levels of heaven, or external progression. Alma 34 v31-35 repentance and labor in your behalf.

Book of Revelations: 2 prophets will be raised up in Jerusalem.

There r false prophets as da Bible says, but dat does not mean dat there won't b true prophets. Elijah & Isaiah were prophets, but there were also false prophets in there day. Actually, the book of revelations speaks specifically of 2 prophets in Jerusalem; Joel, on the other hand, speaks of numerous prophets, because it includes women, young & old men. That said, are you going to believe that God has & will continue to choose prophets in modern times as the Bible says? Or r u gonna continue 2 contradict the Bible & hold on 2 what ur church says?Read another scripture: Eph. 4: 11-14 & tell me about the foundation of God's true church.

Doesn't Joel & Revelations speak of modern-day prophets?Bsides, da scriptures says dat prophets & others were called til we all come in da unity of da faith. & U know dat there is no unity of the faith 4 there r many religions with conflicting views. I am very open minded. I wasnt born a mormon. The first time I encountered anti-mormon literature I was shocked and stopped believing. I found out after a little research how very wrong and false it was. Now, when I see anything anti, it doesnt disturb me in the least.
You have SO MUCH info about the prophets, apostles, their names, their salary, their homes etc.
Makes me wonder why you dont study mormonism through worthy sources.

But it does say "whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." Or "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men".
I know in my heart its true, I found out by myself not from a minister.

and those of you who are "researching", you are not trying to find the truth, you are trying to disprove God. Satan has used man to screw up the true gospel. The only way to find the truth is through the Holy Ghost and the feelings of your heart. instead of trying to find things that are wrong with any church, try to find out what they are teaching you and sincerely pray, ask God, and he will show you the way to return to him.
