However, you wont upgrade too much from the sak steel to 420HC, the performace is only slightly better. if you are serious on cardboards, you want to try a steel, that performs significantly better, I would choose something like AUS8 at least, but I understand it is difficult to find better steels on slipit knives like saks.

Thank you for doing this test because of it I think I'm going to get a Buck 303 to replace my sak as it's steel dulls very fast on cardboard.
