He is taking much of the bible literally. A cherub isn't a bull with human hands. God created man is His image & likeness & likewise angels were created in God's image & likeness. Man was created a little lower than the angels & though the bible talks about different angels, it's merely their position. The book of Ezekiel is a book of prophecies & in prophecies there are lots of symbolism which you need to search other parts of the bible to understand what particular symbolisms represents.
