@JAYMZACHILLES I work with an ex cop, and any cop I have ever met has been totally professional and seemingly very good at their job. The ex cop told me it was barmy rules that make British policing silly, not the cops themselves. Too many rules thats what it boils down to, so I say give them their initiative back but keep the nice guy policeman we have all known.
