am I the only one who thinks this is absolutely pointless... if you want to play nintendo games on the subway...then get something that does more ! ... I hate uni-taskers (as apposed to multi-taskers) ... you could get a GP2X, a PSP, a DS with a homebrew chip, a GBA with a flashcart...heck...tons of Chinese no-brand mp4 players play these...and guess what those have that this doesn't...

they FIT in your POCKET!...

Thanks for this awesome review. I just received my own FC Mobile in the mail and am loving it. WOW! All my old NES games play like new. For only 45 dollars and games that sell cheaply in Flea Markets, it's an excellent investment for retro gamers such as myself. Forget the DS and PSP. NES is BACK!!!

Would you really want to bring it out? With the carts that stick out that far? Ugh. Just go with a Dingoo for $35 more. It emulates the NES but you can play all of them plus it's less bulky. Still, I give props for the FC Mobile to even been around. I wonder why Nintendo let the NES patent expire.

Ughh, the original Gameboy never played Nintendo 8 bit games. And any renditions of 8 bit NES titles for Gameboy were monochrome and awful on the eyes. Gameboy color games don't compare to original Nintendo titles.

i cant wait to get the portable game system, and start playing games, i love 8-bit games just the feeling from playing them feels different , but fun. and being able to play on the tv that's just amazing, you get a portable version and a regular version with it that's just sweet, BTW this company also has a nintendo thing that can play both NES AND SNES. for 60 bucks, that's 30 dollars a consul.

it's pretty awesome, just got one today. it's kind of a bitch to get the cartridges to work, mine are clean and everything, but it requires constant ripping and inserting them out and in for it to work properly, but when it works it quite cool. the controls are a bit funky but the additional hook-up-to-tv function makes up for it! ninja gaiden 2 owns. too bad i gotta rip out the cartridges so often and i feel like im about to break the thing, but it's pretty durable so i'd give it a 7/10

hmm, it looks ugly, they should make a thing that lets u put the cartridge in a thing that hooks up to a computer and put the game on ur computer and then hook the FC mobile to ur computer and put the games on it so u wont have a huge cartridge sticking out.

Nice. I'd worry about accidentally hitting the reset during intense play, and the lack of an external power supply sucks... I also hate the PS/2 style d-pad (that's four seperate buttons without diagonals) maybe the next model will fix that (hoping so!).

pretty tight but i dont care what he says it cant be that sturdy (cart loader) i can see the cart coming SLIGHTLY loose and the game freezing on me... especially if i were to use the AV jax... i would use it like a controller and while looking at the screen i'd lose awareness of the 3/4 of a cart hanging out... furreal that looks achward

It really is surprisingly sturdy. We genuinely tried to make it freeze while playing and it didn't stop. No music freeze no game freeze nothing. We were fairly impressed.

I have a game axe color which is a famicom color portable made by a chinese company, it plays famicom cartridges and nes ones with a converter, has ac input, av out and 2 controller ports, its cool and all but personally I would rather run nes roms on my psp or nintendo ds since they are alot more portable and dont require me to carry around those big cartridges.

I had the Game Axe, it was clunky & was not stable cart wise, it would freeze if it shook too much. Roms are never as good as the official carts, though convienient not as cool as an official cart & flawless gameplay.
