@YOUROCKON28 Look, man (and also neapopica): Check the comment thread about tempo. Metallica recorded it at 112 beats per minute. I play it at 120 beats per minute. That's a 7% increase. It works better on piano at that tempo b/c, on a piano, the sound starts to decay as soon as it's produced. It's my transcription. I play it the way I like it. I was very faithful to the notes (except for my solo). So thanks for the comment, and pardon my frustration with the speed controversy... Norman V.

@rufus566 you know personally i find play by ear pianists to be very talented... its truly a skill i play both...i think it takes a lot more talent for me to listen to a song and play it then read notes... this is beautiful but piano isnt a different instrument the notes are the same... its a different fashion of playing ... but in the end the piano is a combined rock band... two guitars and a bass can play moonlight sonata just as well as a piano can play fade to black

I don't want to sound rude but you have never played a piano before have you. A piano is completely different from a rock band and it takes a talented composer to transcribe the notes so they sound good on a piano. Play it by ears often oversimplify by just regurgitating the sounds into a different medium, it is lazy and sounds awful! Why do you think composers bother transcribing pieces anyway? According to your theory all instruments are the same so there is no need. Kid please...
