When did you go? I bet it's hot there today. It got up to 110 here, though now it's cooled down to 109. Of course, it's always cooler on the beach in the summer. My weather channel says it's only 87 in Bodega Bay.
I went yesterday afternoon; it was between 75 and 80; by the time we were out of there (still daylight), it was around 65. 110 degrees??!! What city are you in?? Duh, I should check your profile:P
That was cool but you forgot the snorkels. Can't find much abalone without snorkels. Too bad you couldn't bring the dog... he always seems to have so much fun running and attacking other dogs in the sand ;-) . Was the hike back up as much fun as the hike down? That's always my favorite part. Haha.
No snorkels :( But we thought of that afterwards dammit! The hike...ah...the hike...I have no words on climbing back up in flip flops!! We had a wonderful time though, and next time we're dragging Alex up there!
See, the problem is I'm really lazy and unmotivated. I should check tomorrow's weather report and see if I can drag my husband out to a good hiking spot.
But once you get out there and get moving you'll be so glad you came, Leave early in the morning... before you have a chance to into your normal routine. Works for me.
I checked the weather for tomorrow and it looks good. I even have a spot in mind that's a nice easy path. Haven't explored it yet but it should allow me to show you guys our beautiful Yellowstone River. I'm excited now! I'm on my way to run it past Billy.

I live in Tracy... it's in the San Joaquin Valley. It can get pretty hot and dusty here.
