  • No, it's not in HK. Asia Uncut is a new TV Talk show in Singapore. It was the last and final performance of Cinderella tour in Singapore when this AUC episode was taped.

  • langya galing mag english..

    kla mo tga america talaga

  • actually although she's a filipino, i think her first tongue is english. thus the reason why she wasn't really able to break in the philippine entertainment industry before miss saigon because people cannot appreciate her. they cannot relate to her because she's not "bakya" enough to appeal to the mass. but it's good that she was finally able to find where she can really show her talent and shine. and because of her, MORE filipinos gained an appreciation for other form of art

  • she can speak filipino well.

  • Lea Salonga's first language is Tagalog. She went to an International School in Manila and therefore had a very good exposure in speaking english fluently. She's also an exceptional student. She was a consistent valedictorian from elementary to high school. If you check her interview in England when she was promoting Miss Saigon, she sounded very much like an English person. I think she does it like she does it in singing. she has very good ears for it.

  • Leas Salonga was choosy in accepting her projects. It was obvious since she was very little that she did not want to appear in cheezy roles just to make money. Besides, her forte was more into singing than acting. She was also a nerd and was into her pre-med studies. It was not her proficiency in english language that made her not bakya enough to be less appreciated by the philippines masses. It was a choice that she made.

  • lea can still carry herself gracefully

    proud to be pinoy!
