  • and yes knees together...

  • Actually, Your feet should be flat down, knees high up, hands reaching shoulder

(touching chest/torso at all times)...While doing sit-ups you must have your elbows touch your knees(without lifting your arms/hands) and while going down your shoulder blades must touch the ground.

  • Is this a joke?. In the RM our knees must stay togeather, Our elbows touch the ground and our knees before we lower back down, and of course always keeping your hands on the side of your head.

  • just to correct u ppl out there who think his sit-ups are wronge( this video is stupid) your feet do not have to be flat on the ground as long as your heals do not leave contact you are fine.

  • These are the proper way to do sit ups?

  • You idiot your lower back didnt even touch and your feet raised, those wouldnt have counted

  • Chris your feet weren't even flat on the ground those would of never counted

  • thats not at all how it works... if its a test you stand in a bunch of long lines.. one guy does situps awhile the other holds his feet.. the drill sgts count reps... then when he is done with his situps he runs to the back of the line and he person that was holding his feet in how on the ground while the next person in line runs up to hold his feet and so on. if its during PT they dont ever say about face... they say the sit up.. and every says >>THE SITUP DRILL SGT... ready... move...

  • @MrDavidPenwell then the guy in the back gets on the ground and the guy in front of him turns and holds his feet... then its ready begin.. 1.2.3. (1). 1.2.3.(2) 1.2.3.(3). 1.2.3.(halt) changeover...move... then you rotate who is on the ground and who is holding.. after you each do a set... its halt.... position of attention... move... where you stand back up to the pack of your PT mat at attention until the next exercise is called out from your drill sgt.

  • In order to do a proper sit up in the Marine Corps. place your feet flat on the ground with your arms across your chest. One sit up is when you lift your body until your arms touch your thighs, and lower yourself to the ground,

    ^_ ^/ ^_ = 1 situp.

  • Expertvillage my ass. They can't teach anything.

  • ummmmm.........wtf i dont think their military standard i think there army standard lol

  • Those were'nt military standard at all. Didn't even go 1/2 the way down. Those would never count.

  • Stupid fucking video

  • this guy is badass!!!! He did a video on how to straight thrust a kabar into a saudi terrorist!!! Its crazy and very educational. THANKS EXPERT VILLAGE!!

  • this dude sounds and looks like a fake pussy

  • I dont think is even in the army. If he was fit to do a sit up he would be able to pull off at least 20 without help of someone holding their feet down, and go all the way down and up without hesitation.

  • I am in the Army and have been since '07 and I can honestly say that this guy has no dea what h is doing or talking about. BAD BAD BAD reresentation of the Army. Those sit-ups are all wrong.

  • Exactly what I'm saying... We should do a video on PROPER Push-ups and Sit-ups.

  • haha u guys gotta put ur hands on the seems of ur shirt to?

  • When you say on the seems of our shirts what do your mean? When we are at the position of attention, our thumbs are on the seems of our trousers. Is that what your meaning?

  • This didn't cover all military sit-ups.

    Those are army sit-ups.

Navy, you have to cross-armed sit-ups.

If I did those during navy boot camp, I'll get roasted by my TI.....

  • you might getsome sucky on the poop deck too!

  • thank you it is my dream to be a marine so i will do sit ups and pushups everyday!

  • NAVY!! yoga mats?? i rest my case

  • FAILED!

  • omg xD situps epic fail!

  • you should re do this vid cause its of NO help

  • how does this even help you? lol

  • First of all.... No.

Your shoulder blades have to go to the ground for the sit up to count. Also, your feet have to be at a 90 degree angle or less. 0 of your push ups count.

This video wasn't informative at all since you didn't even show a proper sit up.

  • waste of time... didn't show anything informative just like the rest of your videos.

  • I think the most important thing is learning how to increase your alcohol intake.

  • lol... i kno i cant hang for nothing..

  • @damasgate especially during AIT

  • Sitting on a soldier's feet is not permitted in the APFT...

  • I had to have people sit on my feet in the past with their knees in order to hold me down. Some people just cant hold you from rocking your feet. I was never told I could not have this done, otherwise I woulda just asked for a big guy.
