  • Wow the pitched repeats are really cool...

  • i thought this way a dely pedal not something that could warp time its self

  • It's a nice pedal, don't get me wrong, but for some reason I still prefer the built-in Delay on my Marshall

  • is there an external tap tempo footswitch for this pedal. would the boss tap tempo work with it? (i realize that might be a really stupid question).

  • like if you noticed the electtroharmonix theme

  • is it true bypass

  • mine has red and blue leds

  • who else thought "paper planes" at 1:46?

  • Does the Digitech RP1000 have all or most of the same settings?

  • I forgot this was a pedal demonstration and was listening to it like a music video lol

  • very nice delay but can u change the presets and tempo during a performance with the footswitch... thanks

  • this vs dd-20?

  • @alejo2564 This

  • how would you guys compare this to the dl4? since its not true bypass, how much does it suck the tone?

  • is this better than the EHX Deluxe Memory Man?

  • @IoDecay Way different! I have both and use them for entirely different purposes. No delay I have ever used can compete with the analogue sound of the DMM. Whenever I want to use lots of delay, clean or distorted, it's DMM all the way. The Time Bender can do much more though, and offers variations far beyond the DMM realm.

  • which one do you guys think is better this one of DL4 and what would some disadvantages of getting this one over line 6 DL4 and vice versa. thank for answering.

  • @BackPorchPoet4 the dl4 seems to have more modes, but this one seems more versatile and u can do tons of things u cant with an ordinary digital delay. I say choose this or the boss dd-20 :D

  • wow! this pedal sounds amazing, the down side for me is only 4 presets, If i want to have various delay settings for one song as well as for various other songs its no good to me, which is why i will stick with my boss gt 8 , why don't these kind of pedals have more presets i don't understand

  • Holy shit this amazing, 300 bucks though!

  • @blackpleg28 That's only $50 more than the Line 6 DL4 though, and this has so many more features.

  • will it blend ? xD

  • The guys at Digitech are trying to let us fly a Space Shuttle. When all we know is just playing a guitar.

  • Those guys at Digitech are nuts

  • This like a Nova delay and the Nova wins in amazing sound (so smooth) -PK

  • Is the dry signal converted to digital?

  • PINK FLOYD FOREVER!!!

  • I gotta do a presentation on this pedal. I truly don't get it - Oh dear.

  • This has given me GAS ...damnit

  • does this have a reverb effect as well?

  • would this be beteer than the dd20

  • @strabbs1 yes

  • Talk about ripping off. Sheep sounded good though with the delay.

  • intro song?

  • Does the delay keep trailing after you disengage it?

  • id deffinitly go with this or eventide or one of those hard to get botique delays

  • I'm stuck between this and the DD-20 and 2 TC electronic delays help

  • wow, very cool. sounds like he is using a whammy pedal

  • Great Demo!

If you want to see more ways to use this pedal (like with keyboards or a mic) search YouTube using "TimeBender" and "Sweetwater" for more videos.

  • this pedal is beyond me..

  • First Song: Sheep!!!!!!!

    good song to start

  • @EggWS94 gotta love the floyd

  • Check out the deluxe memory boy

  • I love it!

  • Digitech IS Boss IS Roland

  • I thought that Digitech was seperate, than Boss/Roland. Because Digitech ate up DOD

  • if you are implying that digitech is owned by the same company as boss, you are incorrect.

digitech is a brand of harman international.

  • @hortonnathan um... no.

  • fuckin awesome pedal and even better demo, gotta get rid of this dd6 and capture this baby

  • your voice is awesome.

and the pedal, too. but i cant buy anymore or i need ballet lessons.

  • Is this really a lot better than the DD20?

  • @metalmachineliar Quite honestly, yes. It's a bit of a "Middle of the road" unit, in between the DD-20 and the Timefactor

  • no good for pink floyd for sure

  • The boss dd-20 destroys this pedal! And its way less expensive!!

  • Timebender has so many functions not found on anything else. Really want one..

  • i love this pedal, i love boss but thos has a certain something i like, cant put my finger on it just got an edge

  • there are so many pedals it drives me crazy. i dont know what is better. digitech or boss

  • digitech hardwire series are better than anything boss has done

  • @xxBlazionxx bro this is a pedal of thehardwire series.

  • @vistritha No it's not, this is just a regular duel pedal from digitech.. and the Hardwire series is a new series of single pedal stomp boxes from digitech, just like the older x-series pedals, but with stereo ins and outs

  • @misfitenemy yes it is!....Timebender is a lot more than "just a regular dual pedal"

loads of Delay types,Harmonised arpeggios, create your own delay patterns, morph between patterns, Looper etc etc ....could do with a few more buttons for switching between the 4 user patches though..

Hardwire is a big step on from DigiTech's X series..new DSP/electronics, true bypass, high voltage rails and are built like tanks..the Lexicon reverb is excellent

  • @xxBlazionxx

    really? better than the CE-1,CE-2, VB-2, BD-2, DM-2, DM-3, OD-3, DD-20, Space Echo, and, for the price, the SD-1?

Don't generalize things so much. There's a reason why both companies have been around for so long. I have pedals from both on my board. I think both are excellent for what they are.

  • do you think its better to get digitech timebender or boss giga delay?

  • timebender

  • I would buy this thing in a heartbeat if it had more than four memory settings. For the amount of cool sounds/features on this thing, that's not very generous.

  • If you hook an expression pedal to the unit, you get 8 presets. Toe down on preset 1 is 1a and heel down is 1b. PLUS you can morph the two together by rocking the expression pedal back and forth. 8 presets should get you where you need to be! :-)

  • gotta say.. this thing has a lot of features I've never seen anywhere else.. still..

  • Line 6 Dl 4. best hands down.

  • Nah, the Eventide Timefactor destroys it.

  • This is the best delay unit out there for the money - hands down. I paid about $400 for it, and it's worth every bit of that. If you experiment a little, I'd be willing to bet there isn't a single delay sound you could think of that you couldn't get out of this. Think I'll try to use it to recreate the "crystals" delay sound that Alex Skolnick got on Testament's Return to Serenity. I'm sure it could do it, and save me from spending $400 on an Eventide Pitchfactor in the process.

  • thinkin which delay to get and tbh the dd-20 stands out the best

  • any good delay pedals for heavier music? leads etc..

  • What do mean leads? Like a background delay or full on modulated multitap craziness?

  • One more thing, what kind of adaptor does it take? I'd love to daisy chain it.

  • I'm trying to replicate The Edge's (U2) sound as closely as possible without breaking the bank. Is this good?

  • me too

  • Dude, get the Electro Harmonix mermory man. Ive been looking at delays, and nothing sounds like it, perfect U2 tone. The Edge actually used one during the begging of their carrer

  • memory mans kind of a pain in the ass to use. great sound but can be irritating.

  • he uses alot of different pedals. From the boss delays all the way too the deluxe memory man

  • 00:22.....is the sheep solo?????

  • What if I were to use this in tandem with a DL4?

  • Then you would get everything one timebender can do.

  • @irrabmaralekim you would be waiting for the DL4 to get back from being repaired.

  • This Timebender is seriously the coolest effect I have ever owned, hands down.

  • What kind of expression pedal are you using? I am wondering what I should buy.

  • I have been using the Ernie Ball Jr 250 kOhm passive volume pedal. It works great. Although any high impedance volume pedal or expression pedal should work.

  • are most of these effects on the new RP1000? because this pedal is very impressive...

  • pretty cool

  • ahhh i can't wai to get this JUNE 24 yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

ill make a vid of it too

  • I'm gonna freaking love strumming in the delay pattern.

  • omg, that reverse delay is a killer....

  • What was the song playing during the explanation of the pedal, it starts playing at 0:49 and continues to 1:34. I really like that melody.

  • Great sound!!! COOL

  • oh my god the sheep intro made up my mind! Fuck i love this pedal!

  • Why just get time bender delay units when the digitech RP1000 has an adjustable delay along with MANY other effects?

RP1000 sounds great with a MOOG

  • can u expand it with a "normal" foot-switch, to switch between clean and overdrive? with enabled settings from timebender?

  • looks like a blatent tip off of the dd-20

awsome pedal though, i may consider the swap, the dd-20 is a bit noisy for me

  • Let me know which one is less noisy. My DD-20 is obnoxious

  • Comment removed

  • The pedal does look intimidating to use but it is really easy it is to get going with some cool sounding delays right out of the box. I found the instruction manual helpful for creating some more complex delays as well

  • Great Floyd sound off it.

  • This would be sweet with the Moog Guitar

  • oh...the moog guitar...it's perfect

  • I WANT

  • i'm new in electronics. if i had the time bender, how should i connect it? guitar-distort effct-timebender-amp? or guitar-timebender-distort effct? or either can be used? thanks :)

  • DIGI is right, bit too digital sounding for my liking, but I must admit it does have some cool tricks up it's sleeve.

  • oh yeah sheep! great song

  • perfect for playing U2 songs

  • The self strummed pattern is the biggest attraction for me!, *wants it very badly*

  • superb demo

  • sounds sweet but i have no use for it

  • Aw, crap.

  • These digital delays sound a lot like Durutti Column.

  • What is the bypass on the timebender?

  • Probably buffered.

  • when the delay is off (unit bypassed) the signal is not digitized so your tone will pass thru the unit unaltered

  • Awesome pedal. :)

  • this pedal is great, it would be even better with an fx loop, but that may be taking things too far lol

  • should i get this pedal, line 6 delay modulator, or empress delay?

  • I can't say about the empress delay but I have played the Time Bender and the Line6 and the Time Bender has alot more useful features

  • im not smart enough for this pedal

  • this pedal owns the dl4

  • 1.46 to 2.02 is bliss

  • wow this pedal is pretty versatile

  • all very cool features, no doubt. love the strum feature. however, this seems busy with too many choices for me.... then again, i'm just a stupid guitar player.

"Give me a chickenhead knob with an on off switch or

    give me death!"

  • My favourite Pink Floyd song in the beginning Sheep!!

  • This is probably the most technologically advanced delay in pedal form. Its abilities are almost intimidating...

Apart from that, I think it would be necessary for us to be able to see what Andy is playing and what is being played by the pedal. I had difficulty telling what belonged to who...

  • In the Strum pattern example, I play the same basic riff. First without harmony, then with 3rds. It creates its own melody. But yes, it's a pedal you have to experience with your own hands.

    -Andy

  • Thanks a lot Andy!

  • Hello Andy, can you please tell me if this pedal works well with distortion or only on a clean channel?

    Frank

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos Hey andy. In your opinion which is more versatile? the boss dd20 this or the dl4? would like to know for future reference. Thanks

  • @bloodySunday77 It's not really hard to distinguish what Andy is playing because the initial attack is what sparks the delay. Granted that the visual aspect has a personal value, it is not absolutely necessary to see the visual aspect for you to know what is being played in real time. Don't be confused by the delay. Hear the melody and understand the root note and when the tone began. For silent root notes with harmonization and delay the same rule applies.

  • Seems pretty complicated. But looks incredible.

  • I want one. Badly. Seems much better than anything out there right now!

  • whoa. nifty pedal. personally, i'd like to know andy's favorite delay pedal. haha.

  • well in one of his reviews he had a digitechrp1000 with a bunch of other pedals and the delay pedal he used was a mxr carbon copy so maybe that one is his favorite

  • boss better get on the ball...

  • this reminds me a lot of the DD20.

  • HELL YES!!!! PInk FLoyd Sheep!! That sounds great Andy!

  • this may be the only digitech i like...

  • And i just bought a dd20 :(

  • :) cool

  • that strum tempo feature is really awesome

  • Pretty cool.

  • anyone here bought from the store - what are they like to deal with? esp international shipping and sales?

  • We ship all over the world every day. All orders ship the next business day.

  • Hahahaha the first chord that Andy plays @ 1:47 is the same chord and the delay is at the same tempo of Paper Planes by M.I.A.

  • That is because the riff is from the Clash song "Straight to Hell". M.I.A. song has a sample of that. Check the Clash tune at the Youtube.

  • looks like something omar rodriguez lopez will love

  • It will be mine...

  • hahhaahahah wayne

  • alot like the edge's delay

  • Sheep!

  • yes
