Wonderful, magical, divine! The Tanpura is introduced as a drone instrument at the start. Isn't it an instrument that provides a rich, multi-layered harmonic environment since it produces more tones than the four that are strummed. The immortal Ustad Hafiz Khan reportedly used say that he heard over 25 microtones listening with Shraddha to the Tanpura. Pandit Mallikaarjun Mansur used to say that without sitting under the bodhi tree of the Tanpura, one cannot attain musical enlightenment.

What a spellbinding Rageshri ,Truly divine...Respected Veena ji has brought out the essence of this raga.. What splendid rendition! I am left in tears.. We need to keep this tradition alive.
