I do think this song is about the heroin habit and culture throughout Seattle. Its very subtle, because its hard to write a mainstream song explicitly about heroin. Usually when you shoot you have to mix the dope in the spoon, put in a cotton (have a plan) along with the strange words when he says "save me" it has a dual meaning of being saved from drugs, yet still going through the motions to shoot again with the spoon. Don't ask me how I know.I wish I didn't.Maybe wrong though
