  • hi, can i ask you something? this game is: for Pc, playstation3 or xbox? What??? TELL ME PLEASE,

  • @dolcejle For now it's being developed for PC, Mac and iOS. We're hoping to produce ports for consoles as well, but in the future.

  • I love this kind of games. Scratches is one of my best games. I can't wait for this. Don't rush it. Rush brings mistakes-errors with it. Keep the good job.

  • @GhOsT76GR good games :) , we need these since we get crappy games from big developers ., small ones are still the best :)

  • Update? D:

  • @24Jjssonicfan24 Right, update. Let's see: we're alive, the game is progressing very nicely, it has stopped *growing* fortunately, which means we're really heading towards completion. I can't give you people an exact date yet, but you will be tasting a bit of the Asylum soon-ish ;)

  • The inventory. In Scratches when you pick up an item, It Remains In Your Inventory The Hole Game. Most of the items, you use them once and then they are useless. They take up space and you get confused on what to use. I know its more realistic that way, you don't trow away a screwdriver after used, knowing for sure you are not to use it again, but is for the best if the screwdriver unfortunately breaks after used. Hope the inventory system is not like in Scratches. I'm just saying. Good day :)

  • @dorianjazz2 In fact, the amount of items that you can grab in Asylum will be much less, but we'll still take your suggestion into account. Thanks again! :)

  • I can't wait for this game. Here's a little feedback. Stick to fade to fade scene is fine, it was ok in Scratches, BUT, remove the zooming, it creates the feel that you are moving forward, but when the scene fades and it changes to something else, it can get confusing. Do it like in Scratches it will be fine, or stick to just zooming from scene to scene and remove the fade. You can't have both is very distracting. Love you guys keep up the good work =))..ima post more feedback on the inventory

  • @dorianjazz2 Thanks for the feedback! All I can say for now is that you'll have to trust us: it looks much, much better when you're playing the game. Regardless, we will release a short teaser (in the spirit of those old Scratches teasers) so that everybody will be able to see for themselves what it looks like. I'm positive that you won't be disappointed :)

  • @agustincordes i trust you guys, no worries there.....thanks for reading the posts, this was already on my buy list anyway. ;)

  • I can't wait for this game to be released! It looks incredible.

  • So the gameplay of this game is similar to Scratches, right? Which makes sense because you did make that game (Sort of).

  • @FianderTV It will be similar, yes, but you can expect some definite improvements: better pace, a clear sense of direction, less reading, etc. And of course, a few terrifying surprises down the road ;)

  • Seems interesting.

  • This is what I see when I isten to Welocome Home Sanitarium...Its gonna be even better than amnessia, for my taste

  • This is absolutely stunning! The atmosphere is thick and foreboding, the visuals absolutely gorgeous, and the creepiness factor is off the charts! I cannot wait to get my hands on this!

  • OMG i been waitin forever it seems for dis game to come out! hurry up lol im dyin wit anticipation *bangs head on desk

  • when is the release date for pc?

  • @MareDstaR It's expected around mid-2012.

  • @agustincordes Tnx M8 :)

  • im all for games made in argentina, but would it have been too much dificulty to drop the pre render backgounds? they can be gorgeous in rpgs, but it makes first person games look cheap. and aside from what i think, i asure you a lot of people are gonna dismiss it for that alone. check what happened to deadly premonition, one of my favorite games, got a lot of bad fuzz just for that. and the name... asylum, really? your game is gonna be lost in bat shit with that title

  • @jareth2000 Actually, the Asylum name has been giving the game quite some notoriety lately. It's short, sweet and very representative of the plot. There are many reasons why we're sticking to pre-rendered graphics, but above all, it's precisely because we want to avoid cheap looks that we're staying away from 3D. Every location is brimming with details, with barely any repetition. You'll see ;)

  • Just don't make it an Amnesia rip off.

  • @10samm10 We won't :)

  • @agustincordes Prove it, because all I see here is Amnesia with a less original setting.

  • @10samm10 Seriously, it has nothing to do with Amnesia. It's an adventure game with no action sequences whatsoever. You interact with characters, solve puzzles, etc. It's a completely different experience.

  • @agustincordes You just described Amnesia

  • @10samm10 OK, have fun trolling!

  • @10samm10 from what i remember amnesia had 2 characters to interact with...had a lot of action sequences (running from zombies, evade water demons etc.), and puzzle solving was pretty easy........oh and..IT WASN'T A FRIGGING ADVENTURE GAME....regardless about what people say it was a survival-horror game, because you have the ability to move freely and dodge zombies, pick up stuff, trow stuff....don't compare this with Amnesia.

  • This looks brilliant. I loved Scratches; a very unique and immersive game with a masterfully-told story. I love the independents. Can't WAIT to see a walkthrough of this game. I'll make sure to watch it in the dark with the sound turned all the way up.

  • I'm a sucker for games with asylums, definately gonna look in to getting thi when it's out. But in the meantime I'm gonna check out scratches :)

  • Oh my god that will be so scary!

  • I played a lot of horror games but any of them didn't scare my like Scratches. I hope Asylum will be the same! Go Senscape!

  • Oh, this looks pretty good! Might add this in my list along with amnesia.

  • *-* I wanna play this...i wanna play this...I WANNA PLAY THIS!! asdasdasdasd

  • Is there a demo?

  • @BudMovies Not yet, we're working on that!

  • @agustincordes thanks for the information!

  • where can i get it?

  • @animelover1168 It's not out just yet :)

  • God fucking damn it!! They fucked up this game... I thought it'll be game with normal walking, not like adventure games like 10 years ago.... ehh

  • @Finger444 personally, i didn't like the freedom of movement in amnesia: the dark descent; "slideshows" probably work better for horror adventures.

  • woah! vid made last month ago and has 38,000 views!

  • according to twitter it's delayed to mid 2012.. damn

  • Scratches scared me more than Amnesia ever did (Amnesia made me MORE pussy instead of more manly O_O), so I imagine this game will make me die of scariness.

  • Doesn't got shit on Amnesia.

At least not from what this video's shown.

  • Obviously it's not an action game. Kidz like to play dumb shooters, they are afraid if they don't have a double barreled shotgun and feel that they cannot run away/sneak around. But there are many players like me, who are waiting for a true horror game. But such games need a good story or will fail.

  • @DarkTemplR Aaah...the cool guy has spoken. Sarcasm aside, i'm really looking forward to this :) Will get Amnesia for christmas (lovely isn't it) and i'll try and finish the game as fast as I can without geting a heart attack.

  • @EvilMegaCookieOfDoom Hey, I just read a few comments here and drew a conclusion. I may look cool here, but I look much less cool while playing horror games. :-)

  • Also, is it just me, or is the breathing at the beginning sound like when you get shot in Goldeneye 007 for N64?

  • I really wanted this game, but now I don't.

    TOO DAMN SCARY D:

Jk, will be buying this as soon as it is released!!!

  • so... i'm hoping the viewers and gamers alike can help me out here... but im actually running a linux based computer and I'm just wondering if there are any decent to gewd horror games for linux besides penumbra and amnesia... both were gewd, scratch that real gewd if not the best, but i'm looking for other ones that are gewd too... any help would be much appreciated...

  • @elchaser lol accidentally copy pasted: frictional games

    they make better games tho

  • Comment removed

  • I'm sorry but I didn't like it. The walking part is really annoying, it's like a turn based FPS game. Amnesia looks/sounds/feels more scary still, good attempt though, glad to see more horror games out there.

  • I do not really like the transitions :S But the look of the game and the sound design seem to be well done.

  • The only thing I hate about these games is how I need dramamine to play them u_u)... looks great! =D

  • Не обосраться бы !! :0

  • nossa muito show esse jogo, mai prefiro Resident Evil

  • fuck point and click games. this would be 1000x better and would get SO much more sales if you could walk around

  • @FedoraFTW shut up fucking tard

  • @Goldman200 Nope, denied. im still going to play this since i love horror games and am a huge PC gamer

  • @FedoraFTW actually that was my only problem with Amnesia =))....move freely in ADVENTURE HORROR games....abomination....the classic style is the only style

  • cool!

i really like the Scratches game, and i will buy this game for sure!

    look's very nice. :-)

  • @singreaddlamar No one gives a shit about your COD spam, seriuosly. This is a gameplay from a point-and-click horror game, not a fucking war shooter.

  • Oh it's OK, really. It's not like I need to sleep at night. D:

    :(

  • Would be very interested to hear a release date like most people here...

  • This looks really amazing. A mix of Silent Hill and Amnesia? I love exploring asylums and hospitals, they make for the best scary environments. Is there a release date yet? Or an estimate, maaaybe less than 6 months? :) But I'm looking forward to the game!

Judging from this trailer, this is not a game for people with motion sickness.

  • omg noobs, its point and click adventure, you cant do gfx with that much detail and have it in realtime, it must be generated before and i think they dont even have graphics engine that can process it realtime, it was generated in some 3d computer program like 3d studio max or lightwave :P, game looks good

  • @Swedenrockn We'll share some news about its release date in a few weeks...

  • when does this game come out?

  • The jerky transitions when you move forward in the game enhances the atmosphere.

  • 0:47 oh SHIT :|

  • @dageezerboi Yes, there are some inventory puzzles. In all truth, you shouldn't expect a game like Amnesia. It's more different.

  • Is this basically Amnesia but more sort of traditional point and click? are there inventory items and puzzles and stuff?

  • @dageezerboi Amnesia is basically a point and click =))

  • i think i might pass, i dont want to get used to the screen jumping

  • this looks amazing! good luck agustin!

  • Thumbs up if u shit yourself at the end of the video

  • @PrivateeRyann actually i shit myself at 0:45 :)))

  • @PrivateeRyann I CAN'T DO IT!!!

  • Oooh, Such creepy deliciousness!

  • Senscape thx allot for this gamme and "Scratches"! :=) Love you guys and cant wait for this, you will get my money for sure.^^

  • Looks very interesting! Not a fan of navigating through screens (not sure what to call this type of design) though.

  • @Nfelli64 point an d click =)

  • @loveundertherain We're in talks about distribution on PS3, but nothing solid yet.

  • is this game on ps3 or only on pc

  • @googleslocik I will post a diary entry today explaining why not in great detail :)

  • so why nto full 3d ?

  • that slow paced screen type of walking ruins the whole experience, if you have such detailed levels it would be better to let the player explore every corner at their own will, that doesn't mean a run function is mandatory

  • @dMITIC move freely in this type of games is not the way to play them...it takes away the tension....here you are scared by the atmosphere i guess, not by monsters coming at you.

  • @DrYomismo We're now two people but at one point we were four. That's not counting Daniel Pharos, the composer.

  • Sunscape is very talented. Very glad for you new video.

  • I disliked the ability to move freely in adventure games and Amnesia didn't scare me. But with just watching this short video I got a goose bumps. This is amazing, really

  • reminds me of Amnesia, which is great. But without ability to go freely anywhere by foot. Disappoiting and it's kinda ruining the game experience.

  • @onnimonity actually that creates the tension......in Amnesia you can run anyway from an enemy...here its a bit more difficult...that's the real experience

  • The fact that you can't move freely just makes it scarier!

  • Looks awesome. Definitely has a sense of dread and tension that "Scratches" had so very much looking forward to picking it up. Thanks for the cool sneak peek.:-)

  • How many people is working in the game?

  • Thumbs up if scratches was the only game that acomplished to put fear into

    you

  • To all of you who havent tried scratches yet, what are you waiting for?

  • WOW! I can't wait to play this game. Scratches was so awesome! ^_^

  • @Jurianug Va a haber algo jugable antes de fin de año :)

  • Played this full screen and remained motionless throughout the whole vid.. The tensioned atmosphere worked right away, as if something had paralized me.. If Asylum will only be have the game Scratches is, it will be a straight -A- horror game hit! Anyway, great vid guys! Can't wait to buy and play this!

  • First Impression: Wow, what a great atmosphere. Second impression: I hope the movement will get more freely, like first person games. Next thought: I WANNA PLAY THE DEMO!!!!!!!!!!

  • 2:14 Es la parte del teaser la puta madreeeeeee!

Muy bueno, me muero por jugarlo. Hay fecha para un demo o es muy temprano para decir?

  • @TyakaB Bear in mind that we intentionally walked slowly for the purposes of the video. Movement can be much more dynamic than this!

  • tiene un aire amnesia !! gusta gusta

  • Finally! This is looking great so far. You sure wasn't lying about the game being more 3D like than Scratches. And nice to see some realtime scares this time!

    Nice work!

  • First thing - wow

Second thing - it's going to take some time to adapt back to "screens" type navigation after Amnesia and Penumbra games -_-

  • @TyakaB

to me the game has its own charm the way it is

  • @iowa1 precisely. And Scratches isn't the only adventure game with this type of navigation i love. but it still will be a bit hard to remember how "we played adventures in old days":)
