The closest plane to reality is the CL-215, Look it up, Naturally it has a few modifications from the show's version, Probably copyright reasons, Nice plane though.

Does anyone think it would have been any fun if he did have guns, i personally think it would have taken away from all the cool flight sequences, if he didn't have to get creative.

The series ended too soon, but I never did see Baloo regain the Seaduck as his own. He briefly got it back in the pilot episode but just as quickly as he regained it he lost it again as Becky paid to have it rebuilt.
@dracowing14, it seems to be a running theme that throughout the rest of the series Baloo was always hoping to buy the Duck back but it ended, as far as I know, as Hire for Hire still owning the SeaDuck.
