yo man just finished my salmon ladder. i couldnt do it the first day but after searching the g4 forums i read a few of ur posts and it helped me man up lol.
Basically, I made both large, metal beams, attached rungs and cemented said beams in the ground about three and a half feet. Looking back on it, there were probably easier ways to do this.
You have to build it yourself for the most part. I'd build one for you, but with the cost of materials and shipping, it wouldn't be worth it on your part.
Watch out for the new double salmon ladder it's evil....well actually it's the same with a few very pointless differences i hope to see you at sasuke 26
That was impressive Oti. You say it's not hard, but I think it's definitely the toughest part of Stage 2. You should put down some pads though. If you are going all out & miss at the top, that's gonna be a rough fall.
It's called samon ladder because salmon swim upstream to return home to lay their eggs. This requires alot of strength and stamina on their part which is why it is a good name for this obsticle. How long did it take you to make that Oti?
My dad's factory has all these big shelf things that consist of two ends and all the beams in between. You put the beams where you want them, lock them in place, then put something on them to make the shelf. You can see these being used in Wal-Mart, etc.
I used the beams welded together (22 ft in total).
Does the actual bar in the obstacle course also weigh 8 pounds? Also, how far apart are the two main poles?
Claw220 7 months ago
@Claw220 I have no idea how much the bar weighs, The poles in the video are about six feet apart, I believe.

now you just need to work on your vert, or you won't pass the warped wall

@TheAmazingOti How did you attach the rungs? Were they welded on or screwed through the beams?
KevinDSchap 8 months ago
and how long are the actual poles? I'm guessing you need around 15 feet or more.
KevinDSchap 8 months ago
@KevinDSchap Welded. I don't know how long the actual poles are but I'd guess around eight feet. It doesn't matter either way.

lol is there a place where you can buy one of these or do you pretty much have to make it yourself?

Cement. Each post is four feet in the ground and cemented.
