  • I AM IN S.H.A.D.O. SUPER COOL CLIP.WATCH FOR THE MOVIES COMMING SOON BASED ON THIS SERIES.

  • One of the best combat scenes from the show, both combining " depth charging " and straight out " direct fire - shooting ". The " S.H.A.D.O. Mobile's " were one of my favourites along with the " Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle " or " SPV " from " Captain Scarlett and the Mysterons ". I had a small metal toy " Mobile " that when you pressed a button the roof opened to show missile launcher which fired 1 x missile at a time. Imagine if they made a computer - console game !!!Regards.

  • Watch out! Hobby-town's being scorched by the aliens and the army! I love Meddings' pyrotechnics.

  • Great video, thanks for uploading! @Centurion180ad Well it was a mixed victory at any rate. They lost one along the way. --Dancougar82

  • This episode always stuck in my mind from childhood as a fab shootout from this show. Wow it takes me back. Thanks for posting it.

  • not very accurate those 1980s depth charge timers, set them to 10 seconds he said not seven.

  • Brilliant entertainment, that particular epsode is very creepy 10/10

  • jolly good old boy

  • Have to admit Derek Meddings, he had a huge influence on my life; Ended up being the work I chose for life, and drives my youtube channel

  • That's brilliant, Those SHADO Mobiles are tough, they were both still up after the UFO attack. I had a toy one as well as a kid, my brother had an Interceptor.

  • @MoveOnSoulClub This particular video has the mobiles pulling off an ambush of a known UFO position, so they come off pretty well. That was rarely the case. Most of the time a lone mobile would be sent to a suspected landing site, and more often that not would get blown away with all the crew buying a farm. The infantry guys that dismounted came off even worse. I do not remember any dimounted mobile troopers that ever managed to survive. Mortality rate 100%.

  • I had a diecast Intercepter as well back in the 1970s but it was a dark blue while the one in the series was a pearly white.

  • For me, the Shado Mobile was one of the most believable sci-fi vehicles ever. I'd love to see someone build a full scale one.

  • This episode is 'Sound of Silence' In the episode, not even birds sounded next to the lake with the UFO. But if anyone notices a bird chirps as soon as the Mobile launches the depth charge. A sigh of relief on the part of the bird??? Haha!!!

  • Y'know, I haven't seen this show since I was a kid, but those effects really do hold up!

    Derek Meddings was a master!

The cinematographer deserves some credit, too.

  • Holy flashback. Used to have a diecast metal Interseptor. Lost the little missle for the front though

  • Same here, mate. I have a working die-cast model of the SHADO mobiles and I lost the little missles on mines' too!

  • E-bay has them, $4-600 now, but you can get the missle for 15 bucks:) Mine is green with white Nuke:),cant believe it made it from 1970:) 39 years ago=SHEESH!, even my $150 dollar 63 fender stratocaster electric guitar went thru the roof in price also.. Time Fly's.

  • Ahh, they just don't make sci-fi like they used to.

    *sigh*

  • :) so true, now it's all come true:).

  • This was one of the greatest scenes in the UFO series, I think. Thanks for posting it!

  • AHHHHHH Y EL SONIDO DE LOS UFOS zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LO QUE NO SE ME OLVIDA, ESO SI ES LA MUSICA, EL ROSTRO DEL COMANDANTE STRAIKER Y LAS PELUCAS DE LAS CHICAS ( jijijiji) ES INCONFUNDIBLES

  • no recuerdo si este era una serie o una pelicula, recuerdo que la vi en el canal 8 de televisa o algo parecido tendria 6 años, pero si me dejo marcado, en relacion a la ficcion. GRACIAS POR SUBIR LOS VIDEOS

  • Great post! I loved the sound the UFOs made.Must have been a bummer for the guys in those Mobiles ;-(

  • Esta serie me trae muy buenos recuerdos de mi infancia... ojala suban mas videos...gracias por los buenos momentos que revivi

  • shame that no-one puts the good old crafting time in for those anymore, all done with cgi now, this is far better than any cgi! :D

  • Indeed. You can't beat good model work. And that's coming from someone who does CGI for a living! :-)

  • bloody hell.. where those models...very impressive...er I think cgi is bollocks compared to that.WOW
