I think he kicks much, much better than in this drama, than in his "muscules films". He´s much more expressive in "Until death" and he really got the chance for a demanding role. I think "Until death" is one of his best films besides "Nowhere to go" "Maximum risk" and "Wake of death". I can only recommend "Until death" if you want to see more of van Damme than only brainless muscules films.....Hopefully he will do more of such films in the future...

This movie is at my top ten of best movies of 2007. I'm not kidding, along with big-budget oscarwinners like American Gangster and No country for old men comes a little character-piece - thriller with a forgotten star redeeming himself. A great movie!

He doesnt make movies in states coz he is scared to get sued due to his fight scenes being too intense. In the early 90s he broke somones arm i think so he now decides to shoot his movies mostly in asia and other foreign countries
