A lot of people come up with their songs on a guitar or if that's their main instrument. At least trained musicians do anyways. Not everyone just hops on the synth and starts creating like most of the self taught bedroom producers all over the US that make garbage. All of the best producers can play a more broad range of instruments than a key board, or even worse, programmers and loops!

@groverthemost1 I also produce music and do exactly what you just described as the guitar is my main instrument, and at first I thought that's what he did until i listened back to the beginning guitar riff ... they don't actually sound anything alike! And even if the keyboard riff was based on the guitar, i think it's a little unnecessary to show that on a video designed to show off the beat! I guess i'm just not genios enof to understand? :)

Good criticism: Sounds dope but it's really not worth putting on a album. People can have hits but if they still sound un original , it's just recycling. In order to dodge that you gotta open your horizon to a variety of music. My problem was that I was always trying to learn from hip hop but learned that the pro's get ideas from different genres , especially from older music. Storch does say that he studied arab music for certain songs. Theres only so much from hip that you can learn from.
