  • I paly this for solo and ensemble on Saturday. It's is absolutely beautiful.

  • When i play it there are always tears in my eyes at the end of this part. Great performance.

  • Great player!! excellent!!!! xx

  • Saint Saens is definately an under-rated composer!!!!

  • My teacher says that at the beggining of this piece, when the clarinet plays "fa mi sol fa" it seems that it is saying "yo te amo".

  • very sensitive performance

  • Nice playing and you have a nice clarinet sound !

  • allergretto... right this is less than allegro... less than 120bpm..

what i need to know is, whats the best speed for this to be played at?

to be honest cant even get the fast bits doing the same speed at you krps82, but nice playing how long does it take to grasp the tricky fast bits.. and the Db scale.??

  • I played this piece for my end of school exams back in 2002 and was so lovely to hear it again played so beautifully. Well done!

  • It was definitely very good, but as someone said you do seem to raise your fingers quite a bit and i think it may have *slightly* affected the fiddly faster bits. But then I have the same problem with this one haha.

  • i was deciding whether or not to begin learning this. you have made up my mind!!! it is absolutley beautiful. you have put alot of emotion into this.

  • double "l" in "Allegretto"

  • Beautiful! Thank you for posting this.

  • Très bien!

A nice performance. Nice control of tempo!

  • he is my clarinet profesor!!

  • i like it!

  • This is fantastic!

I've just started practicing the piece for my Grade 7 and think it's beautiful.

Thank you so much for posting - it really helps to hear someone else playing it when learning :]

  • Very good.

Some minor sound problems are from the studio and not the clarinet

  • Nice sound overall, a little pitchy on the beginning "F", "E", "G", "F" (throat register), and some fumbled runs, but a nice job overall. Keep up the good work. What are you playing next? I can't wait to hear it! Top job! :)

  • Really good! Nice clean performance!

  • i looks like you lift your fingers quite a bit while playing, try to keep them closer to the instrument, but otherwise, i think its lovely

    :)

  • excellent !

i'm 14 years old, and i'm learning this piece. i really love it. wonderful piece !!

  • impresionante! :D

  • wow, that is beautiful

practicing it right now for a challenge in my high school band.

  • Hum...I suppose convincing.

  • Beautifully executed, especially the balance between separation and the legato style that you achieved in your tonguing. What was also impressive was the slight rubato you employed. It really added expressiveness. My only complaint is some slight intonation issues in the throat register, but that's common. Also the entrance at around 5:00 came off as a little hesitant. Otherwise, great work!

  • beautiful. thank you

  • i just played this solo last week and got a 1 for uil solo and ensemble... i played the 1st and 4th mov. its so beautiful. and i love how you played it. very nicely done. your tone is amazing. keep doin what you doin. it sounds great! now i can listen to this video and remember my solo from my senior year. thanks for postin.

  • wow, that was great! thank you so much for posting this because i also am playing this for a solo and ensemble thing, and the recording i have is super fast and makes me rush. yours is about the tempo i'm going and it's soo helpful. bravo!! never stop playing
