  • Maybe if clark would have trusted Lex in the first place then nothing of this would have happened, he gave up on lex to soon....

  • Lex's obsession for finding the truth drove him to darkness, along with Clark's lies. Its a pity it turned out that way, even though everyone knew from the beginning they would eventually become enemies.

  • I thought lex was going to kick clark into a bottomless pit at after he yelled "THIS IS SMALLVILLE!"

  • I have that jacket.

  • Michael Rosenbaum is one of my favorite actors on this series.

  • ''AWSOME SCENE'' not just for Smallville but acting wise!!!

  • Why didnt lex order a hit on clark after that? Was it because he was still good?

  • @Pillowhead022 I think so.

  • Lex is foolish. He always blamed other people for his downfall, when in reality it was always his obsessions that drove him to villainy. Yes, Clark kept secrets but Lex certainly kept plenty of his own from Clark. Clark never "turned his back" on Lex. The truth was, Clark was trying to be friends with him again when Lex released three meteor freaks to attack Clark, his parents and Lana to see if Clark really did have some sort of powers. Some friend...

  • I see Lex Luthor as the true hero. If an alien came down from the Heavens trying to 'save' us, I would react exactly the same way as Lex. People should aim to be stronger, not rely on this outsider to clean up their mess.

    Lex Luthor is a hero.

  • @louthegiantcookie... and it's this kind of opinion that makes people raise an eyebrow at Smallville.

When the fans start believing that Lex Luthor is the true hero... some crazy shit is going on. Lex Luthor is VERY RARELY the hero - he's the true personification of a villain 98% of the time.

  • @Momentum139 Lex Luthor is a humanist, he is a great man who believes that people should rely on their own strength and intelligence. The idea of a 'Superman' is insulting. It would make any sane person feel like a complete failiure.

Lex Luthor, and even Bruce Wayne, are the real heroes. Because they show the potential greatness of the human mind as opposed to alien trickery or hokey mysticism.

Superman is an abomination, any decent person would try to kill him for what he represents.

  • @louthegiantcookie oh, so this does go beyond Smallville pathos. Nevermind. I won't argue with your comic book characterization. There's better forums for that.

  • man Michael Rosenbaum is such a great and underrated actor.

  • Hope Tom & Micheal star in a Superman Movie one day!

They are well magnificent talented Actors as Clark Kent/Superman & Lex Luthor!

  • you cant help but think.. if it wasnt for clark lex wouldnt of turned out this way. clark is the only freind lex ever had and clark constanley lied to him over and over again.

  • @jwb864 Yes, but if Lex found out about Clark he would be a very dangerous threat. Because Lex has a constant dark side to him and will pounce on any chance to betray someone, which for Clark will be too dangerous.

  • @jwb864 that's true, but if Clark wasn't there, There was Lionel. So it was always lex's destiny to become an evil man, just like his father.

  • I COMPLETELY agree. Clark's lies was his undoing. Clark can really be a horrible friend sometimes ><

  • why does it have to end :(

  • epic scene

  • Lex saying "This is smallville. metero freaks, alien ships, cryptic symbols" Best line ever

  • Ohboy they are buddies aren't they?

  • This probably my favorite Lex/Clark moment

  • Most ppl want to see Clark and Lex be buds.... Really I've been waiting for Clark to kick his ass for 10 years lol

  • I really wish I could find an MP3 of the background music that starts at 3:02 . It is so intense.

  • NOW THIS IS WHAT SMALLVILLE IS ABOUT !

  • This episodie is Perfect and i think that Michael is going to come back in the season 10 ;)

  • @thenewdarkknight Yeah you were right. He is gonna be back in the series finale :)

  • i thought for sure at 3:10 with the music starting to change that lex had figured out who clark was.

  • Technically Clark was to blame for his own father's death. What a hypocrite.

  • I can't stand clark.

  • What would a billionaire have to do with a simple farm boy...hahaha Lex.

  • The show is just not the same anymore without Lex :(

  • @TJHS08 he's back now tho :D in 2 forms!!!!

  • man this episode marked the hate between them i mean dam i dont know why they didnt kill eachother there...

  • This is Smallville! Meteor freaks! alien ships Cryptic Symbols! love that line

  • Their chemistry are perfect!

and they both are really talented...

when Lex says "Of course, everyone can trust Clark Kent" I feel so sad for him...Aww Lex

and Clark is so sexy when he says "are you blaming me for my father's death...are you?"

    Perfect scene

  • Perfect scene, totally agree! One of my favorite scenes ever!

  • @christina170 I agree Rosenbaum and Welling could play off each other so well, even before this scene. Almost every scene with them was awesome. Welling was good at playing the man who would become the savior and Rosenbaum was good at playing the man who would become the destroyer.

  • @christina170 Ditto, when Lex said that, you can almost hear his voice about to break as he tears up a little. It is really sad.

  • i cried and sobbed through this entire episode. lol.

  • One of the greatest scenes in all of Smallville. I loved this episode!

  • lex is the purist of evil'' i hope Kal-el pulls him down

  • i love this video it so cool
