They definitely stopped showing this clip following the departure of Northern Calloway. Hence the fact that Ernie mentions that "David" (Northern's character) sold him the cookie.
I don't get it. Why would Ernie be bragging that he wants this cookie and then easily give it up just to get a fortune. Either way either Cookie Monster or the machine gets the cookie and he doesn't. LOL. I guess he likes fortunes more or something : P
I definitely remember this one from ages ago. And i recognize the octopus clip at the end...that one used to scare me because I thought it was such a strange looking critter (i never liked octopuses, or anything with 8 legs for that matter).
That was awesome! Cookie Monster's got his cookie scam running on Sesame Street! lol! :-) And the octopus film starting at the end is another cool video I haven't seen in forever!
"You will soon be kissed by a greatful Cookie Monster."
Cookie Monster *Kisses Ernie* "MMMMMWAH! Thank you for the cookie, Ernie." I love these classic Ernie and Cookie clips. LOL!

If you had the "Sesame Street Unpaved" special, that's in there, too.
DragonLord1975 4 years ago 5
I think Ernie would've still had his cookie if he would've just shut up and eaten it instead of yakking away.
