  • its tooo hard i dont understand and why dont u try talking i cant fallow your steps

  • @Mrssnowboarder

First of all, calm down: that's fundamental for to be able to solve it.

English is not my first language and 3 years ago, when I made this, I was far from feeling comfortable in speaking in English and with such a specific terminology like origami's one.

Tell me, what step(s) are you experiencing difficulties with?

I can try to write down an explanation for it/them!

    :-)

    Let me know, ok?

  • Wow you would think this would be hard to make but its relatively easy!!!

  • @DragonFury09

In facts, it isn't that hard, after all!

    Thank you!

    ^_^

  • fuck u bitch and step 40 fuck u and your mom I'm ripping this gay ass model your the worst explain er ever and and so is every other gay video about this model on you tube bitch`

  • @yurboiisilly

Do you think asking me about a step #40 here, where it is not, may make any sense?

And do you think that using such a rude tone and language may help?

You're only making a fool of yourself: guess what people reading this comment of yours will think of you.

You should think twice before writing something.

  • @danbergam hm i thought twice i still don't think about changing

  • alright, it was actually easier than the other roses i have been trying to make, but the vid would be better if you didn't do some of the folds away from the camera and if you wouldn't let your fingers get in the way of where to fold, but thanks!

  • @miniKamichanMinami

You're right, this video isn't my best one... luckily many steps actually consist in repetitions of other ones; so, for most of them there's a chance to see how they have to be done...

  • your mean :P i cant do this :( hahaha

  • @littlesingingchick

As many satisfied comments demonstrate, it is possible to do this... hence, you can do it as well!

In what step(s) are you finding some difficulties? I may try to explain it/them with words in order to make them clearer!

    ^_^

  • it's ok, i made it, ty

  • @arberdemaj1

    Very well!

    ^_^

  • i cant follow it at step 12 =S

  • @arberdemaj1

I'll try to explain it! :-)

    Step #12:

    You have that white romb...

    /|\

    \|/

You have to fold up the lower part of the romb, along its horizontal axis; at the same time, mountain-fold towards the exterior the horizontal crase that tends to form, so that it forms the two vertical sides of the final white rectangle we see at 3:55, just above the white triangle.

    Hope this helps! :-)

  • 14x14cm ?

  • @XxXxXxXxXBrN2008XxXx

    Hmmm... yes, I think so.

But nothing prevents you from chosing whatever size you prefer!

    ^_^

  • NICE! I <3 ORIGAMI (time) ='D

  • THANKS!

  • You're welcome!

    ^_^

  • yay! Part 1 done, 1 more part to go!

  • So, have a nice origami time!

    ^_^

  • may i ask you?

why dont you talk in you're videos?

  • Of course you may!

English isn't my 1st language: through the years, my spoken english's getting better... but, not enough to let me fluently use origami's specific terminology, that I don't even really know in my own language.

Now, consider that I don't often fold: that's why my folding skills are poor.

To fold and talk at the same time would turn out in a real disaster, I think.

A final consideration: many people fold and explain... so, mute tutorials are my own, "unique" style! :-)

  • @danbergam oh ok :D so were do you come from? and at 0:09 is that a picture of you? :)

  • Er.. *diamond rose rather. X.x

  • Thank you very much for doing this! I was really excited about trying to make one of these when I first found the diagram for it. I didn't understand the diagram much... But thanks to your videos I was able to make a crystal rose after all! Thank you!! :D

  • This is one of those comments that make me smile with gratitude and satisfaction: I'm glad to have helped a bit and that you're satisfied with the result... by the way, you've made it with your own will, hands and patience!

    Thank you so much!

  • thank you very much! i really appreciate you doing this. I love oragami.

  • And me, I appreciate your words really much!

    ^_^

  • exelente figura

  • Muchas gracias!

TT =)

  • For sure, I can improve!

    Thank you very much!

  • too fast im stuck on step 12

  • If I remind it correctly, step #12 is repeated... try with one of its repetitions.

  • the dimind looks like the superman sign sorry i cant spell that good

  • Don't worry, there's no problem: but you can guess how it's spelled by simply looking at how I wrote it!

You're more than right, it just looks like the Superman sign.

  • hi im finding it hard to do your paper making the rose and the frog i get to a step and i then cant do it anymore

    any tips?

  • Well, you may write down *on the right video* what's the step you find hard to get through, so that I may try to explain it.

  • LOVE IT!

  • THANK YOU!

    :-)

  • ur videos are amazing..n so much fun

    like..jus outa curiousity..

how many origami models do u know how to make?

  • Thank you very much for your very kind words: you really rule!

    ^_^

More or less, I know how to make the origami models that I show in my tutorials... but, well, to be honest... most of teh times I still need to look at the diagrams, for to remember them!

I don't fold too often, haha!

    Shame on me!

    xD

  • I don`t speak english very good...

And, i don`t know more words...

    Understand me?

  • No problem, I understand.

  • Comment removed

  • I respect your opinion.

Still, there's no need to use that kind of rude words.

  • The second part is a bit tricky and not easy to follow but i got it today after many tries.

This will help me a lot to impress a girl which i like this valentines day. Thanks a lot from austria! :)

  • You're right, this part is a bit tricky... and to show without having my hands being in the way is tricky as well! ^_^;;

And you're right, sometimes to try and try again may help!

My best wishes for you and for your kind intention, I hope that she will appreciate your thought and your effort!

    :-)

  • P.S.

Many thanks to you from Italy!

  • Was a very nice surprise! She just said "wow". :D

I also folded a white box and put the rose in it which was a cool contrast to the red of the rose. :)

Was a lot of work for an untalented origami newbie, but it was fun too! Keep up your good work!

  • :-DDD

I'm very, very pleased to know how it went: that's why I thank you very much!

And let me tell you my congratulations for having found a a very nice way to present that rose: I'm sure that, really, the contrast of red (passion?) and white (purity?) was simply great!

May it be the first of many "wow"!

    ^_^

  • el mejor tutorial de origami!!!

  • Muchas, muchas gracias!

    :-D

I just try to do my best!

  • i don't get it on step one

  • Watch it and re-watch it, again and again (after all, it's repeated 4 times): pay attention to what lines become overlapped and notice what crease needs to be made for to achieve that.

Fully understand it, and only then try it.

    You can do it!

  • i don't get step 12, but your tutorials are really amazing! Help, please?

  • Thank you.

English is not my first language... hence, to explain a step is always quite a challenge... but let's try.

You have that horizontal pre-crease on the diagonal of the white square; you make the two valley folds on both the sides become mountain folds: for to obtain this you need to pull up the white part.

The result is that those two valley->mountain folds become vertical sides...

    Hope this helps...

  • I dont get part 6 D: because i cant see it

  • Step #6 is repeated 4 times, between 2:30 and 3:11 : pay some attention to all of them (they're repetitions) and you'll easily get it.

  • the video is broken!

    it only goes till 5:37.

help!! i really wanna do the diamond rose.

  • No, don't worry, the video isn't broken (if it was, all the persons who have watched it would complain about it).

I guess you have to delete your temporary internet files (in the options page of your browser you'll find a section like that, with a button to click for to wipe away those files) and reload this page again.

If after that it doesn't fully load again, you may eventually need to check if your Flash Player is updated.

  • i can watch now that i am on a different computer (y)

    thank you form BRAZIL!!

  • You're welcome... thanks to you from Italy!

    ^_^

  • i can watch now that i am on a different computer (y)

    thank you form BRAZIL!!

  • your fingers got in the way 1/2 way through so i couldnt do it

  • I'm far from perfection.

    Now, I've re-watched it.

Yes, fingers get in the way, somehow; I have to use them for to fold, I don't know any other way of doing it!

But, have you noticed the it mostly consists in multiple repetitions of steps #11, #12, #13 and #15?

Each one can be clearly seen and understood at least one time: once you get it one time, you can apply it whenever it takes!

That's secret #1: first understand/memorize it, then do it!

    Secret #2: patience and retrying.

  • i tried....i think im just bad at origami

  • Another trick that works is to get a pause from a specific model, forget about it and to try it again a while after!

Was your first try with origami? If the answer is 'yes' it's too soon for to conclude that "I'm bad at origami"!

If you knew how many origami models I quitted because I was unable to understand the instructions... really!

But there are other models I can make!

    ^_^

  • no it's not my first time...i've done origami for years and theo nly thing I can make is a crane

  • Oh, the crane is just a classic!

    A beautiful origami model, indeed!

  • lolz "its a quit simple" XD

i had to open up like 5 windows b4 i got to part 2 lolz

  • Still, part 2 is set as a video response of this part 1...

They used to say, in the past, "all the roads lead to Rome": by the way, some are short, some are long... ^_^

  • oh found it

    :)

  • Good! :-)

  • u already had part done how do we make the diamond shape at beginning?

  • Can you please make a video WITH SOUND PLEASE?

  • English is not my first language: if I tried to explain the various steps while doing it would end a mess!

My most recent origami tutorials have, for the most part, some sounds... anyway, even when they are silent I guess is not this big issue: after all, with these hyper-technological world, one could easily (with windows media/real player, for example) put up its favourite music while watching my tutorials, whatever the sound they have or not...

  • i so agree :D music is the way to go :D but silenice is another way for achivement @-@ i hyper focus when i do origamai xD but nice vid's ^-^

  • Yeah, they are just different schools: sound versus silence.

Oh my! Do you hyper-focus?! Well, I'd say that to be concentrated on origami is the best way for to make it through!

    ^_^

  • What did you do in step 12

  • Ok. I have those 2 white triangles, one touching the other on the long vertical side... forming a squared romb.

I make a valley fold on both the upper sides of the triangles (/ and \) near the red paper, I make a fold on the horizontal line in the middle of the height of that white squared romb, I squash the paper of the lower halves of those triangles leading them on the upper part: all these moves, done together, help me to obtain that final upper rectangle.

    Hope this helps.

  • this is cool

  • Thank you very much!

Your username is cool too! ^_^

  • daniele, did u make this beauty up? or did u find it in a book?

    ~luke

  • I found it in the Internet, Luke!

So far, all of my origami models are found in the Internet or taken from a book (although they are quite traditional, I think)... I'm not yet evoluted enough, as an origami maker, for to design my own models!

    ^_^

    Thanks for asking!

  • ahh great^^ I'm going to concentrate more about regular origami (1 square) instead of modular, so I am going to try to make that rose:) Great video btw:)

  • Ah, thank you so much!

Me, instead, I should really try modular origami! ^_^

Have a good day, and... happy regular origami!

(I suppose you'll find it easier... and faster, too! ;-D )

  • thanks:P yeah it is faster and it saves me paper lol

  • lol

    xD

  • hey great vid my videos wont upload properly thats why i havent got anything else added on =( love this rose i hope i can make it though.

  • You'll make it through, I'm sure!

Lately I wondered why that new video of yours you were talking about wasn't there; it may be related to the format it's saved to, or to the codec used...

With what program you've edited it?

    How have you saved it?

  • i used windows movie maker im gonna try again

  • I keep my fingers crossed!

  • you know, i had problems with WMM recently buti found out why. Once youve finished, click "save to my computer" on the write hand side. It will save as a WMA file which can be uploaded to youtube.

If its a MSWMM file, youtube will make like its uploaded but it wont work or appear in your videos :(

    Hope this helps :P

  • It's very *very* kind, from you, to stop by and give advices!

    God bless you! :-D

I think biscuitaddict was able to solve those problems! ;-)

  • Another exceptionally well crafted video Dan !

This one is going to be very popular !

    I like the sinks ...;>]

  • ^_^

Ah, thank you so much, my friend, you're always so kind!

Well, I did my best... let's how it'll go!

    It's really a nice origami!
