Your capacity for such levels of variation is sheer genius. You connect with the human spirit at a deep level. Thank you for being soo inspiring! Wow!

I have the Andres D. Marvi guitar from Aniello Desiderio. Which He use to perform and record. If you are interested in this instrument pleas contact me
AHAHAHA.
another adaption that is not used by professional classical players is the "accoustic/ electric" classicals. its great for volume, however you can only achieve the sound dynamics, and percussive attack by placing a mic at the body and neck. he only uses the body mic, but would prob sound better if he had a neck mic towards the head as well.
alot of the Really expensive hand made classical guitars, like Jim Redgate guitars (what ana vidovic plays) have a "raised fingerboard". where the neck actually sits 1/4 of an inch off of the body, making high notes more accessable. usually dont see it untill the price is over $10,000!!!!!!
I know it sounds weird, but it is in fact true. I don't think, however, that this theme was concieved by any Norwegian "composer". Someone has ripped Tarrega off. Anyway, it's just a stupid children's song. Cheers
i am on again!! this guy is the greatest guitar (classical) player ever !! i saw segovia two times and i saw williams and bream .. this guy is above them!! i play guitar so i know what i am saying is correct!!
Wow! - I am "Gobsmacked" in plain English it means really astonished...Great performance, so clean and well phrased....Why don't we hear more of this guy...
Wow, fantastico, bravo!!! 5 of 5 for all 10 of 10. This artist is unforgettable. OXY, thank you so very much for these fabulous postings. God Bless you.
Yo estuve presente cuando el maestro Aniello gano 1er lugar en el Festival de guitarra de la Habana en los años 80 y recuerdo que nadie podia dejar de aplaudir... Es un fenomeno , definitivamente de los mejores del mundo!!! All the best.
I always disliked Tarrega's variations including Jota and the Carnaval! But ANiello Desiderio is truly incredible. In concert he is perfect! I was sitting in the first row and i was blown away by his sound and his way of using dynamics. Just great!
What he's playing here is nothing but a boring sequence of trivial embellishments of a simple melody. If you think that's music, then I cannot help you.
gosh mate, you don't like much, do you? I'm glad you've answered so conclusively what music is, as philosophers have been debating that for centuries. Just because it's not written in first species counterpoint doesn't make it garbage. It's a fun set of variations. Its triviality is the point, and it's effective.
There is an infinite amount of great music out there without elaborate ounterpoint. But a set of 'variations' merely ornamenting the theme cannot be considered great. (Give one counter-example!) Both Tarrega and Giuliani left good and lesser music, and I find it sad that a guitarist of this high caliber seems determined to pick the latter.
But that assumes there is no worth whatsoever in these 'lesser' pieces. I agree with you that they are not great or virtuosic compositions, but they do serve a purpose; namely, presenting accessible and pleasing music to a wider public. The glissando variation in this piece says pretty clearly to me that Tarrega didn't take this piece too seriously, so maybe we shouldn't either!
These pieces served a very good purpose when the (known) guitar repertoire was almost empty. Today the known repertoire is very rich and there is a good amount of accessible and pleasing pieces that are not shallow. I thought it's the duty of a concert guitarist to explore and present *those* to a wider public. But maybe you're right and I shouldn't take the whole matter too seriously.
It isn't enough to play great composers to make MUSIC. There is more MUSIC in this way of playing junk music than in most interpretations of Bach or Beethoven.
Beautiful amazing music of course! where is this beautfiul scenery???????????????????? I'd love to visit... (im probably retarded for not obsverving the location)

i wonder why great players don't use cutout guitars? i thougt it would make playing high notes much easier and they play alot high notes don't they?

Because it wouldn't be a real classical guitar.
