I had no trouble getting it to accept my password, but I wonder if I messed up :/ My characters are almost the same, but 2 of them are a level lower than they should be. Retardedly, I forgot to check the items, so no idea if that's right.

Hey i need help. golden sun doesnt work for me. I want to get all djinn but dont want someone elses OP playthrough save. can i just get a bronze password? Do i have to do gold for force? argh this sucks golden sun bugged on me at mars lighthouse deleting my saves :(

The problem with that long password is you can make a mistake (your eyes can get tired after awhile). When I put in the password, I'll do one page at a time and then take a break to rest my eyes. I have 2 gameboys, so I hold them side by side (one with the password from GS1, the other being GS2 in which I'm putting in the password) and carefully compare them as I complete each page so I don't accidentally get one wrong.

When I used Gold pass (not your version) it gave me the best items and a ton of Water of Life, all lv 99, max stats, etc. but it left out 2 Jupiter Djinn (Smog/Squall) meaning I couldn't get into Anemos Sanctum :( but for some reason when I started a new game and used Silver pass I got all the Djinn but only lv 40 w/ decent items... So my Q is "Are there different types (versions) of Gold/Silver/Bronze passwords?"

@electricstep1000 Because, you can transfer data from the first game to this second one, because in a way, Golden Sun TLA is not even really a sequel, just the second half of the story/game. The story/game is so large that they couldn't fit it into just one game pack, so they released the first half and then developed the second half and released it a year and a half later.

Ugh, this is why I saved my password to a PowerPoint... I still ended messing up 5 or 6 letters. Of course, it's all worth it when you find out your new characters are already a higher level by the time they've met. (or in my case, five levels)

I spent around 5 hours trying to put in the password, eventually I had all 260 characters memorized when I finally was able to write it down perfectly without any mistakes, and spending those hours typing it in somehow turned into a form of mediation, I felt very zen and at peace with myself after so many trials and errors...
