I'm interested to hear your opinion of the whole album. I'm a big Ella Fitzgerald fan, and actually prefer her later work. After Ella's heart surgery she realised a wonderful album called All That Jazz, which was to be her last - And much to the bemusement of my friends, it's my favourite Ella album. She sounds a gruff, but it's hard to ignore genius. I have nothing against later Anita albums, my favourite Anita album being Mello'Day, but some of Indestructible is hard for me to listen to.
The first time I heard a preview of the album I was shocked. But anyway I bought it and after listening many times I got used to it. Its obviously not Anita at her best but I applaud her effort to make an album at the age of 80!
The hardest track for me to hear is The Nearness of You.
