  • Wrong theme music,

unless he traveled thru time and space 40 years into the future,

got a copy of the new music and then traveled back to the 1970's.

  • The government trying to cover up dinosaurs appearing in england.... Primeval anyone?

  • @TheMasterNull More like Terra Nova than Primeval.

  • @waterfieldV You mean the show that wasn't around when I posted my comment?

  • Love This! Thank you

  • this is the first doctor or the third doctor ???

  • @skullduggery98 third

  • @skullduggery98 You're taking the smeg, right?

  • Ironically this was the last story to be telerecorded as most countries by then had made the switch to colour.

  • Hillbillyporfane: I think probably, with another of the BBCS Modern animations, it most probably does.

  • No they didn't.

  • Audio out of sync

  • In black and white it looks like a 60s monster film! They should do more like this. In Evolution of the Daleks, King Kong should crawl up the Empire State building.

  • I see you did not focus too much on the Dinosaurs!

  • martial law

  • Beautiful work!

  • is the guy that played "nyder" in this episode? haha he was such a cool villan!!

  • wait...why is it in black and white the whole time?

  • This one only exists in black and white. I think I heard tht its something to do with copying it from NTSC or something.

  • I actually think its because moast of Pertwee's episodes (correct me if im wrong) were recreated from Black and white and for some reason the BBC could not recreate this back into colour

  • You're wrong.

  • BannedFromThisSite: You're close, but not quite. Most of Pertwee's episodes exist on colour videotape (from various sources around the world, not always from the original tapes.) Also, off-air recordings of The Silurians, The Ambassadors of Death, Terror of the Autons, a small part of The Mind of Evil and The Daemons exist. These were used to recolour (clips or in full) these episodes. No colour material exists from episode 1 of this story, or from Planet of the Daleks 3, which was (cont)

  • (cont reply to BannedFromThisSite) recoloured using newer chroma dot technology and conventional computer colourization. I don't know whether the film print of Invasion of the Dinosaurs contains chroma dots. Can anyone enlighten me?

  • @hillbillyprofane Yes it does, but it's highly unlikely they will do this. The impression I got from one of the extras on the Planet of the Daleks DVD is that the technology is very expensive, and they "fixed" the Dalek story as more of a one off. You'll note that they never used the chroma dot technology on the Time Monster DVD release.

  • @MisterBlue24 Why would it be needed for The Time Monster? That's already in colour.

  • Because at that time, most TV stations did not care much for old programming, and a lot of old TV is lost. The Colour tape that this programme was recorded on was wiped a few weeks after transmission - this is unusually soon compared to most cases.

This is a telerecording, a process that makes cheap b/w film copies, by pointing a film camera at a monitor. This happens to be an engineering print to teach the process.

  • the background music exactly the same as 9th/10th doctor era i thought it was a litttle bit different

  • that was the whole point of it!

  • I think the dinosaur efect was good fo its time

    great trailer

  • Good stuff!

  • could you post this episode?

  • Haha, the dinosaur actually says 'roar', gota luv 70's DW.

  • great vid

  • Nicely done! Well edited, good shot selection selection, and it doesn't give away any of the story's major plot points.

  • please do it i love the work you do on here!

  • the ones are:-

    the sontran experiment

    the 2 doctors

    robot

    hand of fear

    earthshock

    the visitation

  • can you make one for one of these videos i'm so close to subscribing!

  • This episode was crap, but this trailer makes it look good! Nice work!

  • I like that you show how it would work following the episode.

Great trailer, just one quibble. Obviously imagining this really did follow the Time Warrior, is it a good idea for the trailer to reveal Yates as a traitor?

Then again Boom Town blew the surprise of the Daleks so at least you're not inconsistent with the new series!!

  • Trivia -- Jeremy Bulloch, who played Hal the archer (seen in the last scene of Time Warrior) went-on to play Boba Fett in The Empire Strikes Back.

  • Time Warrior isn't in black and white

  • I know but part of the footage I used from Invasion of the Dinosaurs is so I decided it would be less jarring to have it all black and white.

I did the same for the recap of Terror of the Autons at the beginning of my Mind of Evil trailer.

  • @jonedney and that's the wrong version of the theme. Why do people do that? Make a Hartnell/Troughton/Pertwee recon and then use the Murrey Gold arrangement of the theme. It really annoys me.

  • I have took your advice and made a War Machines trailer. It should be online very soon :D

  • just saw that a few minutes ago. 10 out of 10!

  • can you make one for the war machines?

  • A trailer i would like to see is one for Carnival of monsters, or one for the ark in space. could you make one please?

  • Oh, very nice!

    Dr. S.
