get up mini game after knockdown is great, however i think there should be something different if someone is knocked down from a body shot. doesn't make sense to have to clear your vision after you get dropped from a body shot.

i get they r playing smart, but its a lil bit boring, i rush alot but play smart also depending on how the other person fights. always mix it up or the opponent will see a pattern. ex, i might just keep smackin 1 side of your face and when its soft enought counter and BOOM ur done, or ill just go in combos step to the side combo, step out jabs, weave and throw some bombs, foot work is key dont just stand and trade and expect 2 win trust me i learned the hard way

@chrismck100 lmao I know exactly what you mean, once i played sum dude who had like 300 wins and only 40 loses, all he did was spam the jab to the body. they can still spam but at least there taking steps in the right direction with these patches. this week there gonna patch the body jab exploit, only thing left is to penalize people who do nothing but cheap shit like spamming the lean to get counters and those that just run the whole round have their stamina take a hit . U on 360 or ps3?

these controls are better, u pretty much just push the stick in one direction for all different punches, there is about 10 different punches (that i remember), so more than in previous games. also the first configuration ahs the stick control and the button control, so u can use both which is good since i like to jab with buttons and use the other strikes with the stick

I always thought fight night needed a few things that will never be added. one would be realistic clinching its annoying but its also strategic, Directional knockout falls to fall the way you want to hit the canvas and also taking a knee. and possibly immediate ko recovery right after the ko hit, no replay or cut-scene. get clocked now hurry up and get up you got 10 sec if your over by the ropes they can help lol...................sign it'll never happen though.

Never understood the hate towards people whom use buttons. Buttons are more precise and you throw exactly the punch you want. I dont hate stick flickers. There were advantages for both. With buttons you sacrificed defense. They only shit i hated was spamming that damn body punch and stamina issues. Hopefully ea didnt just add a game mode and slap champion behind fight night

They throw in some lucrative name in the mix to make it sound as though they made major improvements but iI'm sure it'll be along the same lines as their "total control, game control" blah blah blah jargon they've used before in nearly all the their sports games. @retchro On FN 4 they eliminated the buttons..the analog makes the fighters punch slow and punch in singles...the buttons allows you to throw quick combos..which is more professional looking in my opinion. I like to see realistic combos like a jab, right cross, hook to face followed by quick hook to the body etc etc...I didnt buy FN4 because during my scouting I only saw vids where guys stood toe toe throwing slow single shots....I wasnt impressed. Hopefully Champion will be better.

FN3 I use to beat guys simply by basic punching..Theyll be using Analog trying to throw hard shots which can be easily avoided, then ill throw jab, right cross, left hook to the body, ending with a left hook to head, jab out...never fails. I could not do that with the Analog stick to save my life.

I still just want the physics knockdowns from fight night round 3, where you could knock a guy out and have it look real. Not like they tripped... I remember in round 3 knocking people down in the corner and they would get stuck between you and the corner post and you would be able to smash the shit out of them with about 5-10 punches before you walked off and let them drop to the floor bleeding and unconscious...
