  • 4:03 epic pancake flipping!

  • hahaha she says that the chef put salad in the chicken ahhh hahaha. I made the pancake and if you use half of it with rice flour, the texture of the pancake is very crispy outside and sticky inside.

  • Korea+Mexico= <3

  • viva méxico cabron##$ :D aaaaaaaah

  • You are such a cute human-being... And to be honest I'm not sure which is more charming to watch: Your darling way with people or the amazing food you create, so simply :)

  • I love your recipes, I was very smiling with your spanish pronunciation, very well!!! Maangchi, thanks for share your recipes, I'm trying to make all of them as I have chance due of difficult to find ingredients. Hope you enjoyed your visit and I hope to get oportunity to know when you come again to méxico. THANKS!!!

  • I'm from Indonesia...and I love anything about Korea..specially the food!!!! and I love your channel here in youtube!!

It's surprising to know you went to Mexico City......it's kinda hard to find ingredient here in Mexico. Will you let me know if you're coming to Mexico again. I live near Guadalajara......

  • Aaahhhh my fav ingredients!!!

Is anyone else here also intrigued by the chopping sounds? LoL

  • you've always made me smile maangchi. i love your cooking and your bubbly personality! thanks for all the recipes and the great videos

  • @smurfiennes Thanks!

  • Minions lol

  • OMG......i love your show....i no longer need to keep calling eomma or imo for recipes.

  • Is there a replacement for the fish sauce? I'm vegetarian.... :-D thanks a lot.

  • @enigmaticfille use soy sauce or salt.

  • @Maangchi thank you.

  • you speak spanish so good

  • hey, I don't see three crabs on your fish sauce.

    "-)

  • Wow you are very talented the more I look at your videos the more i´m loving your food, I´m from Mexico and this recipe looks very tasty :)

  • @palomechas Mexico is one of my most favorite countries. I love your food, color, scenery, and people! Check out my blog about my trip to Mexico on my website. Cheers!

  • It should be crispy right? How come min is kinda sticky ...T____T

  • @luckydesu The batter must be too watery. Add a litte bit of flour (1 or 2 tbs) to the batter and cook with more vegetable oil. It will be crunchy!

  • can somebody please tell me the name of the tangy sauce you eat with the chadolbaegi?

  • You are so cute ! ! !

  • You have to make a video on how to flip the pan!!!

  • aaahhh, I always wonder: how much is a half cup?? or 1 cup?? xD is it 250ml? or even 400ml?? or what?

I'm not good at cooking, but I really want to try some of your recipes..My only obstacle is that I don't know, how to measure stuff ^^

  • @LadyCookie88 Yes, 1 cup equals 250 mL.

  • i love your flipping the pan! just found out about you on yahoo news

  • Hi Maangchi (:

im mexican but i live in california

i really love the korean culture and of course korean food

i have done a lot of your recipies because they are easy to follow

now my family loves korean food thanks to you

is good to see that u like sharing ur type of food with another culture (:

  • @iloveckjp86 You make me miss Mexico again! : ) Cheers!

  • yay you went to my country! (or my family's country, i guess) but yeah, that's so cool. didn't mexico remind you of korea in a lot of ways, like the street vendors everywhere (especially food vendors), etc... you dont see that in america :(

  • You are very good with people in front of the camera...and your food is great!

  • sounds like battle of the drums...except with knives :)

  • I made this tonight and it was so good. Because I'm vegeterian I switched the fish sauce to soy sauce. I did serve it with Inari zushi pouches cut into thin stripes, green onion, cream cheese and a delish sauce of tomatoes, Balsamic vinegar, peanuts, garlic and some other stuff. This will find a place in my recipebook! Thank you!

  • Maangchi, You are quite the Combat cook, being able to cook Korean food everywhere is a pretty cool skill. My wife is Korean and I taught her to cook Korean food using traditional French preparation techniques. Using the exact same traditional Korean ingredients. Just preparing them slightly different. The result is even more flavor. I love your stuff though, and look forward to each new video. Thanks for Sharing Maangchi!!

  • Nice recipe! :)

  • You should coem to Chile someday!!! It would be great, if you do, please come to Copiapo in Atacama!! I will really be so happy if I know you in person, cause I'm studying Cuisine :D!!

  • Me GUSTA!! ^^

  • Every Asian cuisine has their own version of curry. I wonder if there's a Korean one.

  • Maangchi, how did you learn spanish?

  • @realconnection8718 It's just survival Spanish. Not fluent but some words that I really need. : )

  • I've seen a lot of your videos Maangchi, they're amazing :)

I really wanna try out one of your recipes. Which would you consider great for a beginner? =p

Being a 15 year old male, I don't have that much practice in cooking =p

    Thanks!

  • @TxTARUNTxT Check out my egg side dish. Steamed egg side dish is very easy to make.

  • @Maangchi Alright. Thank you! :)

  • Thanks for this recipe as well. I've been doing several of your recipes now. I'm Filipino, so this particular recipe with fish sauce is probably something I would like also. Should there be a dipping sauce for it? In this video, you did not have a dipping sauce.

  • @huskybr0wn You don't need dipping sauce for this pancake because it's a little salty. It is served with rice. But if you want dipping sauce, mix 1 tbs soy sauce and 1 tbs vinegar.

  • hahahahaha! so cute! yummy yummy boom boom!

  • This video made me smile:)

  • Your videos are so cute and fun, you have great energy! I cant wait to try this recipe :)

  • I came acroour videos about 8 months ago! I have been doing korean food and I just love it. To that recipe I can give you a tip, if you roast the peppers it will give them a smokey flavor I bet it will taste great! after you roast them remove the skin! chile poblano tends to be hot so wear gloves! or your hands will feel like on fire aja aja fighting!

  • wow i still have to praise about how you can flip those pancakes!

  • HAHAHHA!! minions.. xD ...and i was moving the screen down to comment when she asked the minions to come taste, and suddenly heard a loud sound.. i thought they spit it out. hahaha! it was just the trucks outside i think, or something.

i wanna try this maangchi. i have bellpeppers at home!

  • @littleangelgal21 my daughter this time.

  • there are lots of small korean markets in Mexico City near Zona Rosa! You can find fish sauce there.

  • @trance409 yes, I visited there.

  • this is so cute! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH you don't even understand... cultures sharing love has no limits

  • You need to comme to Brazil =) will be wellcome !!!

  • i watch this video around 45 minutes before lunch hour...

surprisingly i can almost taste@feel this pancake in my mouth...

    lucky nobody catch me drooling...

  • I'm a pretty strict vegetarian, so I don't eat fish sauce. Does this recipe need it for consistency, or can I make it without the fish sauce?

If it needs something like the fish sauce, what would be a good substitute?

  • @jenniferohcious yes, use salt. It will still be delicious. How about using vegetable stock instead of water?

  • @Maangchi Great! Thanks so much! You are AMAZING!

  • @jenniferohcious

If what you want from the fish sauce is umami, then mushroom broth might be a good substitute. It seems to me that that might be the case since Maangchi recommends salt or vegetable broth so I think consistency is not the issue.

  • @AkimboJoe Thanks!

  • She also said she used pechuga pollo. That is chicken breast.

  • @powerplantop I made the chicken last night by following her direction and it was very tasty. Yes, chicken breast. I usually don't like chicken breast because it's too dry for me, but this is exceptional. Very tasty!

  • I love gochujeon!

  • Do not try this recipe without a non-stick pan. I learnt the hard way. :(

  • EPIC flip

  • can you make a tutorial on how to make veggie ramen noodles? thanks, your are great!!!!

  • Mexican-Korean fusion food!! Yummy

  • You've made ms so hungry, and I just ate.

Korean pancakes are so yummy, I tried them when I visited Korea a few years back.

  • this is amazing because I just picked a whole bunch of chillis from the garden today and wasn't sure exactly what i wanted to do with them. I know now !!

  • You are quite good with chopping with that knife, I tried to take off the food from my knife like you did at 2:43 and I slice the tip of my finguer, but I am very clumsy!

I can stll watch you and say wow! this is amazing! :-)

  • @Caramelle22 ouch! Be careful! : )

  • @Caramelle22 next time use ur finger and slide it away and out of the knife as maangchi did so you will never cut yourself. good luck!

  • Wow Maangchi, u're so popular everywhere u go. I love your happy, outgoing attitude. Thanks for sharing this recipe, I'm going to try all your pancakes, especially veggie ones. I've been making "hoddoek" for the past two days, for the first time. I have to say, my hubby loves it and it took it to his game night with his guy friends and he was loved by all. He came back home and said to me that they want more. I was so happy b/c someone is actually liking what i've made at last! Thx! to u =)

  • @ahempoot good news! You make my day! ^^

  • @Maangchi yes it is indeed a good news, it is for my family now. My lil daughter loves the mozzarella cheese one. I've made some with cheese, some with brown sugar and walnut. I've also tried it with Chocolate chips..that was good too. Thanks again =)

  • could you makes this with rice flour instead, do you think? For the gluten intolerant?

Maybe I'll just use a gluten free pancake mix, but add vegetables, chicken, and fish sauce....

  • spreading around korean culture!!!~ <3

  • yummy =

  • Maangchi, you are so gifted. I wasen't hungry at the start of the video but I am now. Thank you one more time!

  • Hi! I love my Mexico!! ^___^

  • This was a really cute show. ^^ I hope you get to cook in many other places in the future.

  • Thanks for this easy recipe and buen viaje a méxico DF!

  • Eha

  • I hope this is a healthy food, is it??? Peppers and onions.. and chicken if want. Hope so because it's easy to make and I wanna make healthy food for my siblings :)

  • It is a "stage" money, obviously the spot where the old man having performance is under that guy area, so when he perform there, the old man need to pay somekind of "safety money" to guarantee that next time the old man gets the place again to perform. This money can be consider as a bribe, and it's a good timing for the video to catch this act! XD

  • I'm always so jealous of your knives.

Mine can barely cut cake :)

  • Food network here she comes! Have the best day.

  • It's not your usual cooking knife, Maangchi! :D

You seem in trouble using it

  • looks yummy lolz oooo manchi stalking on the guy at the end rofl jkjk

  • What are you doing in Mexico? I love Mexico.

  • I can't figure out for the life of me what's happening in the last minute of the video... If that organ grinder man was there, playing the organ, why did he have to pay the other man? Also, why do they both have the same hat? Is this some sort of extortion or bribery? Why did he move away so quickly? So many questions.

Oh, I bet the pancake is delicious too.

  • @teknotoast seen that too, I think its called payola.

  • @teknotoast They both work for the same "company"; he was giving all the money he earned to add to the pool. That explains why they had the same hat and uniform.

  • What happened in the end? :(

  • lol. dos cup
