@lilianalisbeth When kids have this done, they are usually under general anesthesia because of the risk that they could move during the procedure. I'm 23 years old and recently had two tubes placed while under a local anesthetic (i.e. I was awake). It was not fun.

i had this done four times over 7 years...preop and postop take longer than the actual surgery

Ugh, I had this done when I was little..but they had to be taken out a few months later b/c they were coming out crooked and causing even worse ear infections. So annoying and a waste of money.

I got this along with three other surgeries I had to get them cause I had 4 chronic ear infection a month . . . The surgery is not bad but watch out for wind it hurts really bad now . . .
