Many idiots today have forgotten Hurricane Camille, who came in August 17th, 1969. She had winds sustained at 200 MPH and a 30 foot storm surge!!! Watch the interview with Mary Ann Gerlach. Stayed behind at the Richaleu Apartments and was lucky enough to survive, and was thankful she was spared from her stupidity. So tough luck! lol

I spoke to some volunteers who drove down from MN to help the victims of Katrina and they were either turned away, or threatened by the residents. It was a sad deal for both sides. Caring people that drove all that way to help were racially belittled, even in a time like that. They saw people just sitting around not even trying to clean up their devastated home and belongings. Basically were just waiting for a paycheck. How is that even possible? So Sad.....

I spoke to some volunteers who drove down from MN to help the victims of Katrina and they were either turned away, or threatened by the residents. It was a sad deal for both sides. Caring people that drove all that way to help were racially belittled, even in a time like that. They saw people just sitting around not even trying to clean up their devastated home and belongings. Basically were just waiting for a paycheck. How is that even possible? So Sad.....

This country has, will and never focus on strengthening African adults. We have to spead that wealth and capital (not in that order) to the poor, working class blacks. White America (not all) will not help African people we have to help ourselves. This is called the "blacktax" and we have to deal with it.

First of all blacks make up only 13% of the us population and they are not the ones with the most hiv, welfare or obesity, the usa has 70% whites so they are more affected by these things, they just magnify it in the black community because in some regions it is an epidemic for such a small % of people.

First of all, black women are the ones most infected with HIV because black men won't admit their homosexuality because it is not accepted in the black church, unlike whites. And all sorts of people are on welfare and all sorts of people are obese, too. If you're going to comment, at least bring some intelligence. First of all I am not white ok. I was commenting to a nasty comment made earlier about blacks being lazy, on welfare and riddled with disease.. I was using govt statistics to show that we are too mall in percentage to have larger numbers of people being affect by these epidemics. blacks are 13% while whites make up 70% but it is magnified because a significant amount of blacks from that small percentage get plagued by these things. That's all I highlighted nothing else

You're right about the first part, but crack heads can't even take care of themselves, let alone organize to lower wages, kill jobs, close schools and hospitals, and bankrupt the US economy with lavish corporate and military spending. But I'll tell you who did: every republican president (and to some degree, Clinton too) since Reagan. If the wealthy class continues to rule, the US will be a third world nation very soon... it's the only way that they can further multiply their wealth.

I'm not a fan of the Bush administration, but Katrina can't be blamed on them. Mayor Nagan had plenty of opportunity before the storm to load people up & ship them out to safety, but he refused. His penalty for not doing his job? He was re-elcted! His family, however, were loaded into a helicopter & taken to safety.
