  • True Story!!! Read "Crow Killer, Saga of Liver Eating Johnson" .. Google it..

  • Of course one white beats so many Indians, lol....wonder what was the reality...

  • @MrChutzpah2002 the reality was that he would eat their livers after he killed them. oh and he hunted them for 12 years.

  • @MrChutzpah2002 story isn't about him beating many - it's about how he takes vengence on them murdering his family

  • 0:54 only cowboys and mountain men can fire from the hip and hit

  • Love how he never misses with black powder muskets or pistols.

  • @cwood4ever at 3 feet away? yeah thats so impressive. they werent that inaccurate

  • @grizzlykillsall Dumb shit in all this shots he never missed, Im not talking about the 3 foot shot. GTFO

  • So Epic

  • I watched this movie a week ago, I thought it was good and this guy kicked some ass lol

  • HE REALLY KICKED SOME ASS

  • noooo! kurt cobain killed kiss?

  • @ASkyofHeads Exactly!

  • When I saw this as a boy I wanted so bad to become a real "mountain man". Didn't realize I was about 150 years too late :(

  • We just saw this at school today, and I LOLd right in the middle of class when I saw that indian fly when shot with the 50 Cal.

  • LIKE A BOSS

  • jeremiah kicks more ass than hugo stiglitz

  • i went to his log cabin in montana once. amazing construction. built using only the bones and sinew of his enemies.

  • @pwnttothemax I once saw him scissor kick Angela Landsbury

  • Jeremiah is the classic ass kicker. I love the movie.

  • 0:54 You can see the rope and the tree move in the background, pulling the indian back to mimic the shotgun impact.

  • @s37d

Not a shotgun. 50 caliber rifle. At that range, the effect would be indistinguishable from a modern combat shotgun.

  • @palotin07 imagine if he had a modern combat shotgun

  • i love the way the indians look when he walks into the camp. there just like "what the hell?"

  • freakin sweet thats what a man will do if you mess with him and kill his family!!!!

  • What's the beef with the Injuns? Why did he kill them?

  • @shoegal831 They killed his family. If you liked this scene, you would like the entire movie. Check it out free here on youtube!

  • @shoegal831 they killed his family

  • @shoegal831 they killed his family

  • wow i had my head phones in my ear and i turned it up real load and when he shot his gun i jumped

  • best mountain man movie ever made.

  • Damn .Johnson put the smackdown on those Indians.

  • @xxashyy Hell yes. That is a man.

  • Why is the video being played at hyperspeed?

  • @Zelinskas9 you did too much crystal meth...

  • wow he's fast..........some might say super,speedy,fast

  • Before Rambo there was Johnson.

  • The best that can be said about the real-life "Liver-eating Johnson" was that he never harmed a woman or a child. Which is more generous than what the Crow warriors did to him. Unlike the Robert Redford movie, his grave is not anonymous, and his death is not a mystery. Best left to our national attic. He and the Crow Nation carried on this silly war for twenty years. He did mellow out in his later years and probably could have taught out UFC fighters a thing or two about kung-fooing.

  • 17-th century Snake Eater!

  • Love this movie.

  • I enojoyed this movie back in 1981. Was kid. One of best western movies beside A man called horse.

  • @MrSnorreke

Jeremiah Johnson was a favorite. and as you said, A Man Called Horse was as well. I have all parts of "Horse"

Then you can go into "Outlaw Josie Wales" "Dances with wolves"

Hard to pick a best one...

  • @redmancheyenne Of course, i grew up with J.J. and A man called horse, Cheyenne Automn, Soldier Blue,Broken Arrow. I love authentic movies, e.g. canadian Black Robe is most authentic movie on Natives ever, Broken chain/Thayendanegea,Last fo the Mohicans(199?) and The New World too. I do not like Hollyshitwood westerns where Indians are represented without historical background. Tecumseh and Squanto are the movies without good research on so many things.Greets from Serbia

  • USA! USA! USA!

  • the fat indian was like OMY FUCKIN- FUCK THIS RUN FOR IIIIT!!!

  • crowwoman49 has some very good points. movies have always cut out the indian side of the story and make them seem mean or savages. tho this movie is good dont think its completely factual. i wish the younger generation could enjoy movies like these. instead they want all action and dont want to watch the drama in some movies. tthis is a must see to all thos who havent seen it.

  • @markuswv this has been my favorite movie and im 16!!!

  • @markuswv

I hate to bust your bubble, but the real-life cause of "liver-eating" Johnson WAS a casual act of violence by some young Crow braves.

  • @pinz2022 ya i did some more research on it but it was only the young ones that were outcasts from their own tribe

  • Is it just me, or is he fucking gorgeous??

Painfully, excruciatingly, unimaginably, unbearably, heart-wrenchingly, mind-bendingly, physically, sexually, insanely gorgeous?!?

  • Mirani he WAS the actor in my time..and was the heartbeat of many women. Well, he was the man. Beleive me, your just posting in a different time/era. Back then there would be no need for "is it just me?"

  • @Mirani2

    it looks like brad pitt

  • NO!!! he doesnt

  • I haven't heard of the book "Crow Killer". I read "Mountain Man" by Vardis Fisher, listed in the credits. Is "Crow Killer" a newer publication of the same book?

  • I agree with CrowWoman49 AND others. It was a clash of cultures. Johnson knew the rules, but found himself caught in the middle. Thus, the argument between he and the preacher. Johnson knew he'd earned the punishment, but didn't care if he lived or died after losing his family. He knew that if he died then so be it. If he lived, he deserved to. He didn't care about himself any more. It was the way things were and had much to do with the harsh way of respect found in that land in those times.

  • That's what you call a mountain man ''I ain't got time for pain!'' :)

  • Adrenaline... He realizes he´s hurt minutes after the slaughter

  • "you sure are cocky for a starvin' pilgrim!" hahahah best movie ever.

  • The only reason why they called Johnson the Crow Killer was because he disrespected the Crow People on the trail of the Sacred Barrial ground taking the army on their land when he knew not too...my grandfather told me a lot about these stories...and there is more too it then what Hollywood put out there. Besides he did something and he paid the price for it....and he deserves it..he knew what he did....thats why he went crazy.....!!!!

  • he went through to save stranded people and that doesn't required the slaughter of his family

  • ahhh perhaps it's because he killed alot of Crow Indians, hence the name Crow Killer. Unless you care to share more what Grandpa told you.

He deserves it? If someone killed by wife regardless, I'd take revenge and I'd enjoy it. =)

  • damn straight

  • GO AMERICA

  • hey sorry my little brother said that.. i admire american indians

  • What did his family do, may I ask? Punish him, possibly, but never the innocent.

  • Jeremiah Johnson is a very quiet movie that probably would not get made today. This is the type of drama that is no longer written. People are not patient enough to watch a film that 's quiet and the pace is slow and the characters develop slowly. People today don't want to watch a movie that washes over them. They want something that's going to slap them in the face in the first ten minutes. Look at Broadway, nothing but musicals. This type of drama won't "pay off" enough to play on Broadway.

  • @jgyll8mt Today people wanna blank out at the movies and not think.

  • Before RAMBO. There was JOHNSON.

  • haha, funny shit dude. I laughed my ass off!

  • I have the book "Crow Killer" which the movie is based on. His pregnant indian wife did get killed by Crows. The boy Caleb was just added by hollywood.

  • I had no idea it was based on a book! I thought it was an original story inspired by an old folk tale.

  • Look up his true story on wiki, Liver Eating Johnson:)

  • OMG! What a gorgeous, GORGEOUS MAN!

  • i think his initiails are actually jjj, one for jedi

  • hahaha... nice

  • JJ does indeed kick some ass here - great title - but for those who don't know the film - these warriors have just killed his wife and adopted son, in what we might refer to today as asymmetrical retaliation for his desecration of one of their burial grounds. It starts a cycle of violence that the film mourns - until a kind of reconciliation at the end that you can find on YT under the title of the JJ "Finale."

  • W00T! Indian Pwnage!!!!

  • He's like the terminator of the eighteen hundreds

  • after that indian busts his ass and starts singing, the song comes on and the singer says what the indian is saying. hes pretty much saying your bringin a lot of trouble to your life....

  • Absolutly incorrect bro.. the song is his death song.. like holy crap this whitey just wacked all my friends, now he is comin for me and i will meet thew same fate. basically praying to his maker.

    Nice try tho.

  • hr tore them up Rambo style

  • JEREMIAH JOHNSON GREAT MOVIE

  • Probably one of my favorite movies of all time! I used to watch it with my grandpa all the time.

  • I remember that part as well. I think he stopped out of pity and out of the realization of what he was becoming. My dad introduced me to this great film years ago. One of my favorites. Too bad they don't make them like this anymore.
