Obama says he wants to cut the taxes for 95% of families, but more than a third of working families don't pay any taxes at all. Therefore, as pointed out by the recent WSJ article, Obama isn't going to actually cut taxes, but provide welfare to a significant portion of the American population. In other words, significant numbers of people who pay no taxes at all are going to start getting a welfare check.

there is a difference between income and revenues. your getting them confused. 98% of small businesses make less than 250k in income but a lot more in business revenues. obama will lower taxes for those who make less then 250k in income. hes helping the middle class, "joes", and small businesses. mccain will do nothing for the "joes" and middle class.

250K is not a lot of money and probably represents most of the small business in america. you start increasing taxes on mom and pops operations, what happens? people lose jobs at diners, gas station, etc.

We're talking about what the business makes after all the deductions. (business expenses, overhead, employees, etc.) so you're quite wrong to say that most small businesses make over 250k. Also, starbucks doesn't qualify as a small business last time I checked, pretty much a multi-national corporation. Franchises do not fall under the same tax code as a small business.
