I did this but used compressed air as my vacuum doesn't go in reverse, it worked wonders! Before it was heating up like crazy and froze all the time, now it's nice and quiet.
HEy, I have a Acer Aspire 7552G its running at 90° on everything, i need to clean it. I have NO acress to the fans and one vent on the side where air comes out and several vents on the botton? Should i blow into the side-vent into the fan, or into the vents on the groud blowing the dust out the side-vents? Thank OYu
i have an hp dv6 pentium dual core T4400 running at 2.20GHZ 4GB of RAM and after 2 years since i got it,it started doing some strange sounds which sometimes are weak and other times they are strong. These sounds seem to come from the fans.Does this has to do with the fans???Should i do what you are doing on your video?
I wonder why the new age of laptop makers never think outside the box to do a easy fan acces , I remember the old hp like z5000 , you only removed 4-5 screws to acces the fan.
Ineffective technique past the point that users usually do notice considerable temperature increase. The right one is to remove the back cover and just remove the dust near the fan, especially at the airducts area where it tends to accumulate.
LOL. Unable to afford this so I blew it with my own mouth. It was so not smart and got dirty on my face. Had to clean my face twice from dirty bacteria. XD
Thank you very much.. this works like a charm. I have a HP G62 and it used to freeze when I used to watch videos online.. I tried your methods, heck I didn't even have a blower, I blew air into the vents with my mouth Haha .. but it works :D.. it works :D
omg and i took my laptop to an "expert" and he charged me 115pounds to put another hard drive in my laptop and now i see that the problem may be due to the fact that it may be dirty inside. Well i got my laptop today and it still shuts down unexpectedly!
Dude gr8 video. If i use a vacuum cleaner where should i blow into the vent which air comes out cus in my laptop i cannot see the fan from the back case. Doesnt using a vacuum blow more dust into the computer???
i actually do the opposite, instead of blowing air into the laptop, i would use the vaccum to suck the dust out of the heat grills. all laptop fans must have an entrance and exit for the airflow which cools the heatsink. the entrance to where the airflow meets the heatsink is where the dust is gathered, which would only makes sense to vaccum the dust out, instead of blowing air into the laptop.
@BromeoMcBrostein Look closer at the video. I'm actually blowing air into the INTAKE of the laptop's airflow assembly, therefore blowing dust out of the EXHAUST. Trust me, after doing this for over 16 years, this IS the most efficient method for 99% of all laptops out there.
i have a hp 425 and it is and it is makeing a noise like vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv and it gets relly hot what do you recommend ??????
I have an hp with the same fan set up and I used a regular vacuum and it now doesn't shut off but it is still running hot. When I am streaming videos it gets up to 95C and idle about 87C. Is this normal for a hp laptop with a turion 64 x2 mobile?
i have a compaq and everytime i watch videos with sound are hear music my laptop make this lound annoying buzzing sound, and i wonder is it my speakers.can sombody please help me out with this one?
Hello i have a Toshiba Satelite p205D and i just dowloaded speed fan and it says that currently the core tempurature in my laptop is between 50-55 degrees celcius I just whanted to know if thats normal.
@edawg775 That's a little high... It's not bad, but you actually want your temp somewhere in the 40s. I would definitely not be happy if it went to 60 or above on a regular basis. Under a heavy workload it can go that high, but still, you want to aim for about 40-45.
@theteacher010 A hair dryer won't do much, and you definitely don't want to use any HEAT. If you have access to a shop vac, or any vacuum that will run in reverse, this is best. Canned air is honestly the only alternative we suggest.
Man, that's excellent way to blow up the dusts. The vacuum cleaner CAN damage the components on the laptop. Carefull next time. Better use AIR COMPRESSOR!! Thumbs up if I am right !
@XsXanatos An air compressor is too strong for this job. I have personally seen a laptop fan assembly get destroyed by an air compressor. Air compressors are meant to drive pneumatic tools and to fill your tires with air, NOT for cleaning dust out of your laptop.
Hello, could you please tell me that if there is alot of dust in your laptops vents and fan thing, does it make the laptops performance slower? My laptop overheats alot and turns off, and the temperature is usually 80-90 degrees when im playing a game lol. :) thankyou for the tips too! <3
@CaseyCrafter Yes, it can certainly make your performance slow down. And if you're talking about 80-90 degrees Celcius, that's pretty hot! Might be time to clean it out before it gets worse!
@rakketakke Suction won't do much of anything at all when it comes to cleaning out laptops. The same goes for desktops. Blowing air, by either using canned air or running a vacuum in reverse is honestly the only way to do this properly. Thanks for the question!
i have a qif u are trying to get dust out why are u useing a shock vack in reves bc i have nociteds when useing shock vacks they blow stuff like dust into the air when u do that? can u help me?
