This song reminds me so much of another song from the 80's but I can't remember what it is. Primarily 0:11-:23. Those notes, that pattern. I know I've heard it in a real song before.
The green dragon is a powerup you can get in either scenario... It's got the strongest attack. The white dragon as scatter shot, and red dragon is invincible, though he's only temporary.
Isn't bad? For me this is one of the bests in videogames history. It's beautiful and reminds about the time I started playing it (6yo).

I think stage 6 has the best music and the boss battle theme, but that's just me.
