Immortal are my standard for black metal these days. They have awe-inspiring riffs and dynamics, their songs are excellent, and I've yet to hear what I'd call a bad album from them. They don't do the cliched "BLAAAAGGHHHSATANSATANSATAAAAA­AN!!!" routine and follow their own path, and I raise the horns to them. I hope they come to Houston at some point soon!
