Anytime a friend is down - has some bad news, I forward this video. And - when I am feeling down, I come here to hear it myself. How can we feel bad hearing this? Yes, a real Classic! In fact, just thought of another one ... TTL
Musican's love each other. I am one. Nothing to do with "making out" or anything physical. Really. The mind, the heart ... the soul that's all. A real "brotherhood" ... (and sisterhood) - simple as that!
I would feel uncomfortable singing next to Steve Tyrell. He look like he wanted to lock a wet one on Dr John. Then again, I wouldn't mind singing next to Steve Tyrell after thinking about that.
(Musically) Twin brothers from different mothers...
...the first time I ever heard Tyrell sing, I didn't know it was him... it was about 10 years ago, late at night, driving home from a gig, he was singing some standard on the radio, and I thought, "Well how 'bout dat, Dr. John has made hisself an album of standards... sounds pretty good, too."
This is the epitome of "feel good" music. I'm dancin' in my pants! But we gotta give props to the guy who wrote this tune.... Randy Newman, you rock!.....
I love the two of you and especially a fan of Steve when I discovered he is from Houston and went to STHS. I immediately thought of my best friend and sent the video. Steve and Dr. J, Houston and New Orleans like bread and jam humble elements just meant to go together.

that belongs on the DUH channel. Ha. We still don't know who did it, but in YouTube's defense they responded immediately to the dispute and re posted, so i was impressed with that, i wanted all 9,000 views and got them all back. I just love the idea of imaging what 9,000 of anything looks like. SB
Ah yes, as Dr Mac says, "it's OLD SCHOOL!" I'm so glad to get your post. YouTube had taken this video down for copyright violation even though I did it for Steve's Disney Standards album, I'm SOOOOO glad they put it back up with all the comments. Sandi
@STANLIZ4 If you can find it, Dr. John was a musical (and acting) guest on SCTV back in the '80's in a "TV movie" called 'Polynesiantown" and he's a scream.
I think if Randy was also a part of this, it would be an eargasm of amazing distinctive voices.
