oh, you god damn liar! you said you didnt have any other videos.. BULLSHIT!! you have THREE other videos.. I mean.. how am I supposed to trust you now? I feel raped a little..
Have You ever used Harbor Freights brand of powder ? If so what's Your opinion of it ?Any help appreciated I have some MC parts to do,also an exhaust system for my Harley, will the coating hold up ? Mooseballs7353
Nice job. I was wondering what to do if i want to powder coat something big like a sub-frame from a car or something or something that does not fit in the oven. It is really annoying that no matter how big your garage is and no matter on how much money you spend on tools and shit, you still can't do everything yourself.
@TutorialTipCom Subframes are small, try full frames or roll cages. Can all be done at home with IR lamps if you are sufficiently motivated and have the money!
@chicksdigwagons I actually was trying to see if I can get my trailer powder coated. I learned that even the shop who is sandblasting it cannot do it either lol.
would you be able to add a sort of splash design using some kind of masking agent before coating it? like a copper tape or something that could be removed after heating.
haha! Pretty funny and informative. Although I noticed you twisted the wire tight to the end of the part and it didn't get the whole thing where the wire was. I've found just creating a metal hook out of coat hanger (bare metal one), allows for near 100% coverage around the contact point. Seems to stick just fine with that method. But good video...thanks bro!
Great vid, funny too. Question. Got a quote to get the springs done and a few other pieces from my springer front end off my chopper and got sticker shock. Just the 8 springs (if I did all prep work) was $200! Saw Eastwood's dual voltage gun for $169. Is the DIY results comparable in quality to professional facility doing it? Thanx.
I see that you missed that little part where the copper wire was attached. Would it not have been a better idea to put a screw in that nut (where you don't need paint) and then attach the wire to the bolt?
Nicely done. As someone who's never seen power coating done, this is very helpful. I learned more in 7 minutes than in hours of fruitless web searching on the subject. (Most pages assume you already know the concepts.) Thanks mate.
great vid. quick question. the part of the support that had the wiring wrapped around ........right before the vid ends you can notice there is a piece that didnt get painted. what wld you do n that case?...touchup?...
good video also what happens if need to do like a bike wheel what sort of oven would u use like if the part is to big for the oven is there ways around it?..
You should have a hanging system from your ceiling for small parts like that. Would be alot easier than trying to work arond the sawhorse legs. Still effective none the less. Post more vids when you can. Awesome
i. love. your. i dont care about you attitude.

Nice and simple. What kind of oven was that in your video and would it happen to hold 17" sportbike rims?

On your blast cabinet. Where did you get the ventilation system in the back? I need one for my harbor freight blast cab.

@MRWOGBOY1000 Use a quartz heating lamp. You have to move it around to get the whole part done.
