This song brings back such great memories.. my grandfather recorded this song from a CD of his to a cassette, and I would sit up all night at 7 years old, listening to this song over and over again, until my mom would yell at me to stop singing so loudly. Twelve years later.. not much has changed. :3

CCR fucking rock, I grew up listening to this in the 80s with my dad when I was 5 or 6 (I was into oldies along with what was new at the time). I think that was easier back in the day, since the 50s through about 1995 was a "rock culture".

Its sad that autotune tween pop, rhythmic R&B and hip hop are cooler than guitar rock in the last 5 years.

Funny enough, I used to think those pop-punk bands around 2003 sucked at the time, but now I miss that too since there's practically NO rock.

"You wake up in the morning and here the work bell ring" refers to life in prison. Miss Rosie is trying to save her man from his sentence.
