I tell you the segment where they show dealey plaza always gets me in stone's films. it's like a million souls are screaming their last with jackie, the result of JFK's death. Truly chilling stuff.
This isn't even speculation: Haldeman later wrote, himself, that while talking with Nixon he came to understand that "the whole bay of pigs thing' meant the JFK assassination. Haldeman was Nixon's closest advisor and best friend, he was the second most powerful person in the country, and he didn't like JFK at all. Plus, even without this movie, Nixon's words make so much sense in that code it's hard to dismiss it. I'm very, very inclined to believe that Haldeman was absolutely spot-on correct.
Several people have said that Nixon referre to the assassination as the "Bay of pigs thing". He also referred the the assassination and the "Texans" as being linked. Bush, Mossbacher, and Baker were the Texans.
Thats because he does. You not find it interesting that Oliver Stone has made movies about all issues that have some sort of conspiracy. JFK, Nixon, The Doors, 911.... Oliver Stone is a disinfo agent
They paid Hunt to keep quiet about the Kennedy assassination. Nixon used the CIA to block the FBI from investigating Hunt over uncovering the Kennedy assassination. Why? Because Nixon is directly tied to it. Nixon was in charge of Operation 40. So is George H. W. Bush. So is Johnson. Maybe it was all three of them, the CIA using the Mafia, and the Cuban exiles. If people really knew everything behind it all, it would be the end as we know it.
In a deathbed statement released in 2007, Hunt finally admits that he was involved in the Kennedy assassination. Also involved, according to Hunt, were CIA officers: Cord Meyer, David Phillips, William Harvey, and David Morales.
Oh, Oliver Stone. There you go again. He should really just write 'Oliver's Stone's alternate American History' rather than do this piecemeal. Let's just hear all of his theories in one work.
are the ideas in these scenes about the Castro-Kennedy assassination proven concepts that actually happened in history or are they just the rantings of Oliver Stone?
In the Nixon tapes he refers to "that whole Bay of Pigs thing". Some have speculated this is code for Nixon's involvement in the Kennedy assassination. The 18 minutes erased tapes (erased 5 or more times, no accident) were possibly the "smoking gun". Nixon was supposed to have won the 60 election. There were a number of programs in place destroyed by his surprise loss. A lot of money was misdirected. Kennedy disrupted too many wealthy folks. He died. Nixon rose like the Phoenix from the ashes.
It makes for a good show, but it's not a good biography.
Nixon started "The War On Drugs" which is still in practice today, and has kept tons of hard drugs off our streets. Most movies about him though, seem to show only the neagatives.
if this country had been involved in any real war as long as this so-called "war on drugs" we would have abandoned that shit 15 years ago. its a force of nature and trying to prevent it via law enforcement is like trying to sweep leaves on a windy day
you mean the failed war on drugs which overcrowds our prisons & ostricizes an entire class of people from the workforce. it shouldnt even be called a "war on drugs" it should be called what it really is a war on the underclass.people who wanna use drugs are gonna use drugs. people who dont want to use drugs wont use. think about it. if this country had been involved in any real war as long as we've been involved in this "war on drugs" we would have abandoned that shit 15 years ago
true to form as the last liberal president, nixon's drug war actually focused more on the treatment rather than the incarceration of drug offenders. the drug war as it is today has its origins in Reagan's policies, not nixon's. drugs are as prevalent as ever, despite prohibition and harsh punishment. so your claim that nixon kept hard drugs off the streets is wrong on multiple levels. 1 it was never an objective of his, and 2, hard drugs are everywhere.
Is TRinny supposed to be B.B. Robbozo in this movie;Nixons' millionaire friend whom he vacationed with in FLorida? Was there a real Trinny in Nixons' history?
Sir Anthony Hopkins was not a good person to play this role.....Nixon had NO class at all and Hopkins has too much for this role...Nixon was a little worm with a filthy mouth....I love Hopkins, but this role should have been played by a nobody.
and SIR makes hopkins a person who doestn curse. Unless you SIR hopkins personally a comparative between the 2 based on takes and retakes for hollywood cameras; and the other of a statesman caught at his worst isnt fair. I think hopkins did a wonderful job. So did Sorvino.

Haldermann didn't discuss BoP with Helms at Langley. They summoned Helms to the White House where Haldermann's rudeness provoked Helms.

Johnson and the CIA were the main culprits behind JFK's assassination. Nixon just found about it afterwards.
