  • won't really sound barbershop from what i hear. More like jazz or jazzy pop vocal style. I think you misinterpret barbershop for all the music made by quartet of men, while barbershop is only and ultimately 1 precise style of vocal quartet music between many. Like, by example, the song don't worry, be happy, (is a vocal only song) But its not barbershop. You got a very good ear though! I can tell it by the way you always stay on the right key all video long.

  • Do your thing man.I think this is cool

  • I don't see how anybody could post a negative comment to this. Nice work!

  • how do you get your voice in the right key and pitch? with software?

  • Not to knock this, or you -- because I like and respect you and your vid -- but is "arm-swingy" to be taken to mean "flaming"? xD

  • this guy is a genius!!!! love you man :)

  • Your a fucking dickhead..No joke, im gonna stick my dick so far up your mum that she's gonna have her period out her mouth.

  • that was so arm swingy.

  • .... this kind of puts me at a loss for words... I'm thinking you should probably not do this again..... if you'd like to see what a barbershop quartet really should sound like please search Crossroads quartet or vocal Spectrum, or Max Q or several others......you will not see "arm swingys" I'm not really sure what the words "barbershop star" have to do with that at all.. you should delete this re record it with the actual words then it might be somewhat cool.

  • Hmmm. So,

1.) The barbershop chorus I've been attending their rehearsals uses arm motions a LOT.

2.) "Barbershop star" is substituting the word "Barbershop" for "rock"

3.) I have a full version of this, along with many other barbershop/a cappella stuff. Since this video was made over a year ago, I've heard a lot more barbershop music and written things more in the idiom (though none are SPEBSQA contest rules).

    Thanks for the comment!

  • @jimlapbap

I think that Zmeister hasn't got a clue. I have listened to Barbershop all my life. It is indeed very animated and swing your arms all you want! I enjoyed the video very much!

  • Yeah, "Arm-Swingy". I love the whole mixdown. I do a lot of these on my computer but I just don't have the guts to post it on youtube. Nice work.

  • Wow. This was so good. It was so informative and really entertaining. No need to apologize to Nickelback. They should be apologizing to us. Lol. Jk.

  • That's so cool!

  • Whoo!! Go Royals!!

  • dude are you from kansas city?

  • Impressive

  • Good stuff.

  • Bravo!!! Loved the full version

  • Yeh! At least, if that's what you're trying to seh....

  • this is funny... if i could sing i would do this all day!

  • Well done mate! I LOVED this when it came when Phearne played it.

    =] Keep it up!

  • Saw the FULL, had to come see the original. fantastic!!!! actually, even more enjoyable, especially for a musician. take care, bring some babies to the world!!!!

  • heard this on radio 1, awesome!

  • Its ace, i cant stop singing it. I heard it first on Radio One aswell and came looking for it. Well done!

  • Kipp??!?!?!?

  • Hey, YOU try being a natural blonde with nordic skin...

  • THIS WASN'T THE ONE ON RADIO 1!

  • Actually it was, someone showed me a link to Radio 1, and they played it. That was unmistakably it.

  • They started it where the video is at 4:09

  • Great work! I, like many others who have commented, also heard this on Radio 1. It was definitely your version. I think they're apparently trying to upload it onto their website (or at least Fearne said "can we get this on the website?"). Anyway, awesome stuff!

  • Heard it on the radio aswell, brilliant!! would love to hear a full version.

  • All right, this is too weird. My e-mail gets about 10 comments from YouTube saying it was played in the UK, and now, mysteriously, the video (at least at this computer) is "no longer available."

  • i heard this today on feane cottons showw on radio 1 thought it was wicked!!!!

  • So, as a resident of the U.S., I had to look up Ferne Cotton and the show, and I can't find a reference to what everyone's talking about. I found a request show and a top of the pops show. Can anyone fill me in on more details?

  • i herd dis on da radio 2 day as well on fern cottons show, i think it is awsum wot u hav done an wud like 2 know where i cud get the full version?

  • Sadly, there is no full version - you're looking at it! I made this arrangement up in my head as the video went along.

  • Very good i heard this on bbc radio 1 today.

    lol

  • Nice one mate, you're 'remix' got played on the BBC's International Radio 1 today, congratulations.

  • Ur a dick

  • Woah... thats so cool! "Barbarshop is so... arm-swingy" totally agree with you.

  • You got played on Radio 1! (in the UK).

At least I think it was you.

  • Unless someone else did a version of this - becuse this is all I have. If there was more than what you saw in this video, it wasn't by me.

  • Radio 1 is the national Radio station in the Uk and ont he Afternoon show today they were playing some Parodies and one of them played sounds exactly like your Vid but it was cut to when you mixed them all together at the end of your Vid.

  • apology accepted.

  • Yes, but are you Nickelback, or a Barbershop Quartet? In any case, you must be plural....

Okay, so I clicked on your name, and you are unarguably NOT Nickelback.

  • ha ha nope. I'm in a few barbershop choruses, and quartets.

  • Nice dude! we want more!

  • Fun... Sounds more country, though

  • totally fun

  • Dude that was awesome LOL
