Its the kick drums/bass drums reversing, its to do with how sound waves are made.

think of sound wave as water. big waves being the loudest, and small waves being the quietest. when a sound happens it exactly like a drip in water, the initial wave is large and then trails off into a series of smaller waves. All sound is created that way. so when you reverse it, it goes from small waves to large waves, making it sound odd.
