i'm pretty sure they played this while the song was being written. when my band i would play new material live our singer wouldn't have all the lyrics perfect yet so she would say the original verse again or do what anthony did, kinda make it up. the music is usually written first then lyrics to accompany

I see why Flea went back to Modulus Bass. His modulus bass' slap sound is more pronounced than his fender. Flea's still awesome though

the problem is in the pickups. those single coils just don't have the power of the modulus humbucker, nor the that really bassy sound..

flea still kicks ass, though
