This is quite an odd collection and sounds more like Len Groat's cart wall (and he did play a lot of jingles!) than the full station sound. There are a few missing especially from the very early days including my show jingles. Thanks for doing this though and it was amusing to hear them again. Somewhere I must have them all I guess on quarter inch as no one else wanted to keep them.
Glad they brought back some memories geordiejohnson. I'm uploading new stuff all of the time... on the channel at the moment is some classic James Whale "Night Owls/Sounds in the Night" from 75 and 76. You may well find this of interest!!!
god i remember most of these from my childhood, in the late 70's poss early 80's i used to tune in for the club/disco chart show, i couldnt go clubbing till i'd heard what was the club sound No1 in the NE, was it with dave burrows?? i'll stand corrected on the presenter, i thought it was superb especially james wales show that was brilliant
Many thanks for the positive comments jw2510. I'm glad they had the desired nostalgic effect. Absolutely superb weren't they!
Don't forget, you're cordially invited to visit my comprehensive Metro 261 and Tees 257 websites or FULL programme downloads, even more jingles and promotional material.

They don't make 'em like that any more! Listening to these jingles brought back lots of memories from my childhood. A superb collection, thanks!
