  • It's really not like that. we can go forever without it, it just keeps us younger, and stronger. but the sun does not hurt or make us stand out, we just prefer to hold in dark because it is so warm and comforting like a blanket around us, protecting and safe. too many ppl can't understand so to hell with them all. and they are no more than fuel.

  • this about somes it up for me. :)

  • I love Vampire Films, This is a Classic. :)=

  • This music is finger lickin' gooooood! :-)

  • Essa trilha sonora do Tangerine Dream é uma das mais interessantes e soturnas. Excelente.

  • Who thinks this movie is like Rob Zombie's version of Interview with the Vampire? same kind of white trash horror

  • all vampires are evil but not as evil as the rich who are draining the earth of its life..soo they can sit round a pool sipping cocktails.....the rich are the biggest threat 2 mankind...

  • @eyewoodsay I dont think vampire are evil. If someone turned you and you wanted to still live and the only why was human blood...what are you going to do? Kill yourself? You should see the Vampire movie Let the right one in. Its about a boy vampire thats so good looking people thinks hes a girl. He was turned when he was 12 in the 1700s and in 1983 becomes best friends with a boy his age who thinks hes a girl at first. Amazing sweedish film, not like the copy cat Let me In.

  • @b7r7u7c7e i would not take innocent victims blood so i could live...it would be wrong... draining their life force ...its goulish and creepy and satanic....i would rather die...im a vegatarian anyway...ive seen da swedish vamp movie...great film.. liked the bit when the cats attacked the lady vamp...the endin was a bit silly .

  • John Carpenter SO copied this for the bus scene for IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS.

  • awesome Tangerine Dream music. Outstanding, underrated film.

  • In 1988 I became a vampire and only truly lived during the dark hours.

I didn't crave human blood though, mdma worked just fine :)

  • Love this music!

  • Near Dark is a brilliant film, made so much better by the Tangerine Dream soundtrack. A proper vampire movie. TD rocked with their 80s soundtracks. Risky Business, Shy People, Street Hawk, The Park Is Mine, The Keep..etc..

  • @oxygene65

The Keep is another good underrated 80's vampire movie, i mean both the book and movie has Molsar as a vampiric energy vampire golem creature that is considered the origin and source to vampires. It doesn't drink blood but sucks energy out like the vampires in Sleepwalkers, Lifeforce, Not of this Earth by Roger Corman, Def By Temptation or The Dark Crystal's skeckis.

  • i could listen to this forever!

  • My favorite song ever for 3am.

  • @haikucigarette Please tell me you're joking.

  • @haikucigarette LOL.

  • @haikucigarette Near Dark came before Twlight, dumbass.

  • @haikucigarette erm no

  • great track and album.

  • Oh, and just to let you know, I personally think that this music almost sounds like it could've been something from "Babylon 5." And that's not really a coincidence, seeing that Christoph(er) Franke composed the soundtrack for that series.

  • Just wondering, but what's the actual title of the piece used on the album, if it's even included on it?

  • @Scifimaster92 From memory I think this one is called Bus Station, which includes Mae's theme which I edited out.

  • near dark, my favorite vampire movie of all time, severen, coolest vampire in movie history

  • FUCK TWILIGHT and everything it stands for! THIS is the REAL vampire love story people! Complete with REAL vampires that DON'T fucking SPARKLE in the sun.

  • @tylermane77 You're absolutely right. These badass vamps catch on fire and freakin EXPLODE in the sunlight, just as they're supposed to.

  • @TheAltair4 They dont use the word vampire in this film through out the whole movie! great movie now and then!

  • @TheAltair4

Not all vampires burn or explode in the sunlight. Other film vampires such as the ones in The Hunger, Lifeforce, The Keep, Blade, Sleepwalkers, Captain Kronos Vampire Hunter, Cronos, Dracula, Martin, Def By Temptation, Vampire Hunter D 1 & 2, walk in the daylight or doesn't get burn in the sunlight.

  • @tylermane77

Would you also say The Hunger with David Bowie is a real vampire love story compared to Twilight too? they don't burn in the sunlight and have no fangs but sharp as blades teeth like in Near Dark, they don't sparkle either.

  • @tylermane77 HAHAHA. Brilliant. May I add that the "Werewolves" of the twilight series are not infact werewolves at all but shape shifters.. Wanna know the difference? Read "The Werewolf in Lore and Legend" by montague summers

  • @quaecky

Well the werewolfs in Twilight are the same like the ones in The Howling, they do change anytime instead of just the full moon.

  • @Johnlindsey289 afraid not... They are shap shifters, not lycanthropes.

  • @quaecky

Not all vampires are the same stereotypes on film as you think they are all a bunch of fanged bloodsucking sunlight burning demons. Not always, some can be energy-suckers that suck energy instead of blood, some don't always burn in the sun, some are psychos who slit necks/throats then drink blood, some are space aliens, some can be space klowns, some can be ancient creatures that spawn vampire lore, etc. there's been movies that challenge vampire stereotypes

  • @Johnlindsey289 Yes, the space vampires you mention are in LIFEFORCE, right? A comet is approaching us this year and everyone is freaking out with conspiracy theories about Elenin.

I wonder what will happen based on their fears and superstititions. I mean, cosmic and weather phenomena DOES affect all organic life on earth, but these guys are really adding 2 and 2 and coming up with 9/11

  • @tylermane77 Deathinately! Just by seeing your 23 thumbs up count, I know!

  • One of my favorites since i was a teenager in the late 90's when i was 16, this movie rocked my boat and one of my favorite vampire movies.

  • I love this film and the soundtrack gave it such an intense atmosphere.

  • @SempiternalDamnation how long ago did you buy the ost??

  • @SempiternalDamnation awesome, make sure you grab Firestarter if you havent already, thats a keeper.

  • @SempiternalDamnation lol you are right its Bus Station but I just couldnt bear to call it that. I guess I just look upon this track as representing the whole feel of the film.

  • Fantastico.....great score and great film.

  • Nice one man, keep up the loyalty! viva los 80's.
