very much anticipated just like the previous winter piece, neat, organized and beautiful coordination and finally perfectly orchestrated and a total salut for the maestro!
One can get so repetitive in comments. How does one say better and better. So well done. Impressive. Beautiful. As Road manager for the Doors (Robby Krieger, Guitar)many years ago there is little that impresses me. this did it.
playing along doesn't show a well rounded skill, it fails to show a guitar players ability to keep the rhythm, because its so easy playing along a melody when the recording keeps the time and tempo for you, great technical ability, but to me all this video shows is he practiced really hard, focusing on the chops, which is great by the way.
One could apply this to any solo performer playing with any orchestra, and they have the benefit of a conductor. This boy has nothing but timing. He certainly did practice as any solo performer must. This guy is no different that any other soloist in a concerto. Easy to criticise, let's listen to the result. He is good.
this is all really nice, but the fact that hes playing along makes it easier than it looks, the recording keeps tempo for you. And also, what benefit does playing someone else's music have on a great guitar player such as yourself. I say, go compose some amazing songs, and play them on guitar, and stop playing Vivaldi, cause it wont get you anywhere.
playing along makes the song sound nicer aswell :P he should compose his own songs i think cause yea he's good at guitar but if he likes the songs why not play em xD
You have a good point, but you still have to appreciate the fact that he started the whole thing himself and went to all the trouble to get all the Vivaldi songs. He did exactly what JerryC did when when arranged Canon in D.
do you have tabs for all your vivaldi covers? if you're intersetet i can give you the tabs for the 3rd movement of the winter which i'm learning right now ;D
He is playing the solo ciolin part. If you take the ciolins away there would be no continuity in the music. This is a Guitar concerto. He is the soloist and his level is just about right for the part he is playing.
You can hear the guitat. It has a flute-like quality and each time he picks the string you hear the attack. This is a magnificent performance of a beautiful classic piece.

Extremely good, a wonderful combination of a renaissance(I think) piece and of our modern day instruments.
