Me too with ours in and out of their Mom's womb. The song can also be found on "From a Flower to a Garden" his comb of the album you mentioned for kid's, and another disc of 'adult' tunes. Beautiful memories aMUSEher. On the other hand john1000003 : if you can't meditate while talking or listening or walking or being still or playing music or hearing music, then you don't get it yet. Keep trying brawley.
A real good & deep (effortless & easy) method of Meditation like Transcendental Meditation (TM) is good enough to let this deep silence & bliss flow into our day to day works/activities we have to do. Everything in life will become more valuable & joyful. This is what Donovan learned from Maharishi & me too!
such control, restraint, poise, confidence, dignity, gratitude for the feeling in his experience -- subtle, simple, deep -- Donovan ever strong, a faithful voice, a lasting sign along the way, sensitive heart -- a special encouraging union with India: spirit music
What a nonsense you are writing here! Still the Music of the Beatles are the most listened amongst mankind. They are remembered as the creators of a New Music style. After that Paul McCartney became very famous with his "Wings".
George Harrison produced "My sweet Lord" etc. & Donovan was making about 12 more "LP's" after his stay in India wth his Master. All of them were jewels amongst the Troubadours & still he is rocking on & Paul too & still they are meditating. Last year they gave a big concert in supporting Maharishis Movement.
I'm 44. The album "For Little Ones" brings a tear to my eye when I listen to it. Can't help it. It's that beautiful. I suffer from depression and I live on a farm, so this song has become my song. Can you dig it? "The Phenomenon of Donovan!!"
Donovan himself is a Scottish man so as you. Have you ever heart about slangs; every area somehow differs in a pronoucation. The main point is the Song is simply beautiful whether rightly or faulty spoken! Isnt it so?
I used to play this song for my babies when they were still in my womb and in their nursery for many years as a lullaby. It was from a Donovan album called For Little ones, I believe. The entire album was meditative and awake. Wish it would re-release on DVD. Beautiful.
Love this song! Love his green guitar. Donovan is a wonderful musician and talented poet. Hearing his music does indeed transport you to "another place."
The Beatles tried to follow the Yogi until he tried to sleep with one of the girls they brought. What a phony. Dovovan is great however; I saw him in Long Island and his music was as good as ever.
If you read the Anthology, the offical Biogrphy of the Beatles they all did apologize for the false rumour they gave (especially John) Maharishi. Read the words Paul & Ringo gave when Maharishi passed last year away!
Still the Beatles are in their Spirt with Maharishi!
On April the 3. Paul McCartney gives a great benefiz-Concert:
Under the auspices of the David Lynch Foundation, the 'Change Begins Within' concert at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on 4 April -- starring Sir Paul McCartney and a host of friends including Donovan, Sheryl Crow, Eddie Vedder, Moby, Paul Horn, Mike Love, and other special guests -
How does the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi religion relate to the krishna religion? Or does it? Are they the same, similiar or completely different? I see you use a lot of the same art and blue ppl. But donovan doesn't mention krishna in his autobiography.
Maharishi is not teaching any religion at all; it is the other way round:
With the regular practise of TM (Transcendental Meditation) all religions are finding fulfilment! Krishna is the Incarnation of the highest Being (The Purushottama)! Read Maharishis translation & commentary about the Bhagavat Gita; then you will know what he realized Bhagavan Krishna was (more then the Absolute & the Relative together, immeasurable: transcending all Religions, Sciences & Philosophies)!
I am a TM Teacher; I never would teach you TM at this state of your present state of human development ( too arrogant to grasp higher knowledge); even if you would pay me a Million Euros!
In the Maharishi Movement everyone has the free choice to believe what one likes or not. You find Christians, Moslems Jews, Hindus, Buddhists or Philanthropists etc. It is important that we live a good, healthy & descend life for our selves & the world with all its beings (animals & plants etc.) as well!
Just glad to see Donovan still actually doing his own songs here. What happened to "psychedelicyogi" and all her beautiful Donovan clips? Did Dono do her in?
I have always loved this song since the first time I heard it when I was 11. It is so wistful and melancholy. It is nice to hear a little background about it. Thanks so much for posting it~~Love and Light

Ya right. I don't buy it. I think TM is beneficial but belief in higher beings, gods and fairies is absolute nonsense.

Why are they all wearing lab-coats?
Is it because this is what they call experimental music?
NaeWea 3 years ago
Not all are wearing these coats, they are the Rajas of Maharishi's Movement, trained personally by Maharishi to bring Heaven back to earth!

Wasn't Donovan on The Old Grey Whistle Test once? I was a regular follower of that show.
Now, if a person who follows Star Trek is known as a Trekie, what should I be known as?
Is a person who does transcendental meditation: a trancendentalist; a transcendist; a trancendant, or just a trany for short?
I must know the answers to these questions as I suffer from Assburger's Syndrome --I treat myself to an ass burger every time I receive an answer.

Not everyone is Scottish. Tell us how to pronounce it!

But Donovan is a Scottish man, so what you wane really say?!

P.S. If I made a mistake in writing (on the Video), so I do apologize for it!
