Dude your Videos I have been watching along with all the others out their. Thanks for all the reviews. After a month and probably 30+ hours of youtube and website research I have chosen and purchased a P-11 from Kal Tec. Love the fact it's a true double action unlike the smaller PF-9 and it's heftier. Your review on it was very nice. Then I start looking for a in pocket holster and BAM their you are again helping me decide with another purchase. Thank you again for all your time in these.
Dang ... just ordered a Desantis pocket holster for my P11 last weekend. Wish I'd seen this first or I would've gotten one of these, instead. Oh well ... never can have too many holsters, I suppose... :-) Many thanks for the discount code!
Just curious, I'm looking at getting the new CT grips for the P238 (LG-492). Given your experience with the mustang, would the PP2 be large enough to accommodate a trigger guard mounted laser without disrupting the draw?
Really appreciate your research. It for the most part saves me hours if not days of researching on my own. If I like your info I verify and then proceed.
I just got one of these for my Kahr P380. It works great-stays in the pocket when drawing, doesn't move around during the day, very comfortable. You can't beat the price, either...
Just went to Daltechforcecom and bought a pocket holster for my 38. Typed in the "Sootch00" in the coupon area, and I saved a dollar and twenty cents.
Thanks for the review and the discount deal, Sootch!
Sootch, I just ordered mine from Daltech.com. Thanks for the great information. I live in a warm weather climate so I prefer to wear t-shirts. This should work great for my snub-nosed revolver. After I get mine and try it out, I'm betting that all of my buddies at work will want one. Thanks
grade holsters! only i realy du not think thet this mag logder is usful if you wer holster in youre pants pockets, becose you must be holding pistol in youre support hand to rich the mag.
@sootch00 Forgive him Scootch, he must be a city boy. Even though I grew up in south florida I spent summers in the country with my realitives (some in Spartenburg SC) so I feel you bro!!
Greetings Sootch from a fellow South Carolinian, and thanks for another great review! Just orderd one for my Ruger SR9c!!! Keep those videos coming!!!!
I have tried a lot of the pocket holsters out there for a J frame/front pocket carry. The two that I prefer are either Mika or a basic Uncle Mikes. Being able to get a complete grip on the gun with nothing covering it is very important for a quick and easy draw. I personally wouldn't use this type of pocket holster in the video that covers the grip. The printing issue really isn't an issue if your pants have adequate size pockets for your pistol.
-- Your holsters look to me like they are cut for lefties. Is the cut-away supposed to be opposite your strong side trigger finger? -- Just wondering...I pocket carry a G-26 and a 638 a lot!
@AppalachianFreedom The flat side is to face out to keep the pistol from printing. Otherwise, the grip would be visible. Both the Glock M26 and S&W 638 are excellent . Thanks~
@sootch00 -- Does that make it awkward when you need to draw? Just wondering. Both of my pocket holsters make it easy to get a grip, but they want to come out of the pocket with the gun as well. -- Thanks again for a great channel sir!
i really dont see the point of a pocket pistol, maybe as a back up but not as primary sidearm. todays subcompacts are so small you can easily conceal a .45 with 10+1.
I was just thinking of making something like this this weekend to Velcro to the underside of my desk table. I have the leather in my shop and feel a video coming on :)
It doesnt look like it protects the trigger enough to trust it for the glock 27. You really need to cover that trigger if you are going to pack it with a chambered round. That should be extended a little and I would definitely buy one. Might work for my sp101 though... American comany making ccw products for Americans. Good stuff.
I keep my .40 Walther in a De Santis Gunhide pocket holster. It's perfect for me, and much more conforming to the weapon. But, I open carry with the top of the weapon fully visible. Keeps the riff raff in check.
@lostcozz99 I have the exact question re a Glock 30. One of my best buddies carries that little pocket freight train in 45ACP (borrowed that term from nutnfancy).... I think it might be a little thicker than a Glock 26.
Hey sootch. Thanks for a great review! I just got my P3AT back from Kel Tec (long story involving lots of jams).
Been needing a good pocket holster as I've been using a rather bulky nylon one up until now. I've got a leather IWB by Safariland which I've been really happy with. I'll have to check these out as a replacement for my current pocket holster.
Nice. I have a nemesis with Kel-Tec P32 for backup. But I like that extra mag pocket and looks quality. The P32 is aweful i'll prob replace it, feed problems.
I have a P32 - they do have break in period. However, both the P32 & P3AT have known mag issues. If the lips on the mag become even slightly bowed, the pistol won't feed correctly resulting jams. Kel Tec replaced my bad mags for free. I only stick w/ 7rd mags for my P32 and avoid the 10rd mags.
I'm hoping that the S&W Bodyguard .380 proves to be reliable – even the Sig 238 and Ruger LCP had it’s share of issues. For now I'm sticking w/ my S&W Airweight 638.
@sootch00 what is the bag you have in this video?

I tried contacting the Pocket Packer owns for which model would best fit a Phoenix Arms HP25a. I'm guessing it would be the PP1, would you agree?

Not sure if I'd want a baby glock in my pocket, my 26 seems a little too big for that. I go with a CrossBreed IWB for that.

Not for me. Looks horribly uncomfortable and life threatening slow draw.
In extreme situation, when your calm thinking goes out of window, you won't be able to prey out your pistol, without dropping in on the floor.
Not good.
