@TitaniumEffects uh. i've used this and it's been workin for 3 months so far after the last time i did it. theres not as many people as you think that are ready to crack open their 60 dollar mouse. i have done that and my mouse was broken inside so thats one of my problems. but most is because they are dirty. and this vid fixes the dirty part. my mouse had a piece of plastic that locked up one of the rollers. but every time i use this method and it cleans it. my mouse been working for 5 yrs now

@Barry3443 maybe the surface of your desk is rough. making the sensor detect random things. or your sensor is dirty or just bad. the laser sensor on the bottom is what im talking about

@thebigfly124 if this method don't work the only other thing to do is try it with alcohol or disassemble it. i did that to mine one time and there was actually a small piece of plastic in there that stopped one of the wheels inside.

It is not about the cotton bud or q-tip no matter how you call it. I cleaned mine with a piece of paper. I rubbed the entire scroll ball pressed it a little bit harder and got all the dirt out. Now my mouse works as it worked before. You don't need to water it or to only rub in the paper you have to try to put a small part of the paper inside i try to "grab" the dirt with that piece. When you get the dirt out you will know :) :) :) But 10x for the video it help me come to that idea :)

Cotton bud is what we call them in Australia, not sure about anywhere else. We think it's ridculous to call something by a brand name when I'm sure there are other brands around that are the same product, but since I was a kid we've had American culture rammed down our throats so we pretty much know what Americans call things that we have a different name for but Americans don't know what we call the same things, so does that make us better than them? Oooooooooooh (gasp) ;)

This will work for some people, but if you have a lot of dirt in your mouse, its gonna clog the four magnet weals under the mighty mouse, and if that happens, you have to take apart the mouse, and clean it that way, i have a video on how to do this

sorry to hear that. i had that happen with my mouse. i had to take it apart to find that there was a broken piece of plastic against one of the rollers. that is what was wrong with mine once. you could also try rubbing alcohol. that might work. i don't have to much more advice from here other than maybe try to crack it open. ( not literally crack but you know what i mean.) hope this helps

This works OK if there's not too much crud inside on the rollers. If it fails, you need to take the mouse apart. You'll be amazed at how much dirt you'll find inside.
